本研究旨在探討彼拉提斯課程應用於提升中老年人功能性體適能之影響,並透過研究過程了解中老年人自覺身體的改善和對彼拉提斯課程的接受情形,及進行教學歷程的自我省思。以M榮家16名健康中老年人為研究對象,實施10週彼拉提斯動作課程。並以課程前、後所量測之功能性體適能數據、上課過程錄影分析、教學日誌,學生訪談紀錄和觀察員回饋為資料加以分析。研究結果為:
(一) 十週彼拉提斯課程實施前後,經t-test檢定後,除了身體質量指數統計結果未達顯著,其餘各功能性體適能,上肢肌力、下肢肌力、肩膀柔軟度、下肢柔軟度、動態平衡能力和有氧能力,均達顯著水準(p<.05)。
(二) 受試者學習到正確的呼吸、明顯感覺到柔軟度的提升、上肢和下肢肌力明顯的提升和體會到身體鬆與緊差別;並對整體課程抱持著正面且肯定的態度。
(三)研究者經由行動歷程,整理出自我省思與成長的五個面向:教學技巧日趨成熟、對教材的敏銳度有所提升、學習到正確的教學態度、對於彼拉提斯專業知識有更深一層的認識,並從學生的回饋中得到更多的經驗。
