In face of external competition and trend of globalization, all enterprise, large or small, tends to apply Information Technology (IT) to streamline and strengthen corporate proceedings in order to maximize resources utilization as an indispensable provision of a “going concern”. ERP plays an important role to integrate IT technologies in constructing a process-based infrastructure platform. Obviously, implementation of ERP is an important management decision in corporate-resource application and integration, What's more, installation of ERP affects corporate-process revitalization and organizational changes to the extent of redefining internal power structure and distribution of authority. In evaluation of ERP practice, top management has yet to determine if the ERP system involved is capable of meeting its preset corporate goals and expectations in order to achieve corporate missions and visions. This research paper starts with analyses of the cause and purpose of the ERP implementation; the procedural methodology with touches of ERP industry reality as backbone of this research and then move on to have thorough description/analysis of the way to access an appropriate ERP system with due attention to external industrial environment, organizational changes, setup of operational strategies of the company involved. The research goes further to describe extensive experimentation of the ERP process during 1) “Project Preparation Stage” 2) “Blue-print Stage” 3) “Realization Stage” 4) “Final Preparation Stage” and 5) “Go Live and Support Stage”. At each stage, we kept a watchful eye to analyze and record the results/scenarios of the execution and evolution that caused impact to individual behavior/attitude; role-play; workload; performance/capability and other “benefit factors”. Finally, my research gets involved in serious review of the “dossier” regarding the ERP practices and the comparison study of empirical thinking and actual facts/results of the ERP implementation. Besides, I took a hard look on the impact of such ERP implementation to the aspects of Interaction among Persons/Parties Involved; Internal Processes, Organizational Changes, Re-evaluation of Practitioners Capability as well as factors of Cost Effectiveness and Risk Appraisal, etc. I sincerely wish my research in this ERP exercise and relevant findings will be beneficial to the task-force and management of the company that goes through the ERP practice as well as to those small- and medium-sized companies that have the inclination of implementing ERP system.
