本文主旨為設計一種新型雪地機車之後懸吊機構，以及對此機構進行尺寸合成。首先針對現有相關之雪地機車後懸吊系統專利，分析其構造以及運動特性，進而可了解專利中之共同特徵，即懸吊機構連接履帶之桿將可沿著與接觸面垂直之方向做直線運動，基於此一設計概念，則設計一種新型六連桿懸吊機構較為合適。本文利用Daniel所提出一種耦桿曲線中具有直線段之四連桿機構，以及四連桿之共生機構合成六連桿之概念，提出一種新設計方法，並推導其解析步驟來進行尺寸合成。此外，此設計方法僅需一主要設計變數，故可依此設計變數與懸吊機構長高比之關係圖，來選擇合適之設計變數。

This thesis deals with the structure design and dimensional synthesis of a new type rear suspension mechanism for snowmobiles. The motion characteristics and kinematic structures of several patented commercial designs of such mechanisms are first investigated. It is found that a common performance criterion of these designs is that the rigid link connected to the caterpillar tread should be able to move vertically along a straight line with constant orientation. On the basis of this observation, a new type of six-bar suspension mechanism is proposed. The analytical procedure for the dimensional synthesis of this mechanism is developed based on the use of the Daniel’s straight-line four-bar linkage and the concept of coupler cognate mechanisms. In addition, there is only one design variable needs to be determined in the procedure, and which can be appropriately evaluated from the design chart according to the desired length-height ratio of the mechanism.
