本研究目的在研究24式太極拳運動對中年人能量代謝及樹突狀細胞分化成熟之影響。受試者分成實驗組(n=12,52.4 ± 7.3歲,拳齡2年以上)與控制組(n=12,51.8 ± 6.5歲,無運動習慣)後,利用無線遙測運動能量代謝量測系統(CORTEX MetaMax 3B)以breath by breath的方式,進行太極拳運動能量代謝臨場評估,並以流式細胞儀偵測樹突狀細胞(dendritic cell, DC)表面抗原。所得之各項資料以t檢定考驗之間差異,並以α=.05為顯著水準。結果顯示,進行24式太極拳運動5趟的平均心跳率113.5 ± 14.0次/分;%HRmax 64.7 ± 8.5%;換氣量18.1 ± 7.3 l・min-1;攝氧量11.8 ± 3.6 mL・kg-1・min-1;二氧化碳排出量9.2 ± 3.3 mL・kg-1・min-1;呼吸交換率0.77 ± 0.05;代謝當量3.4 ± 1.0METS;呼吸次數24.4 ± 3.6次/分。呼吸次數,高階組(拳齡5年以上)為19.3次/分,低階組(拳齡2-5年)為25.8 ± 2.3次/分。實施太極拳運動前後的血乳酸值未達統計上顯著差異(p>.05)。總白血球數目,實驗組8850 ± 1044 μL,控制組6400 ± 657 μL (p<.05)。高階組與低階組,未達統計上顯著差異(p>.05)。DC數目,實驗組之CD11c 為7998.7 ± 1414.9個/ml,CD123為4061.7 ± 613.5個/ml。控制組之CD11c 為5928.3 ± 842.6個/ml,CD123為3705.5 ± 524.1個/ml。DC數目,實驗組比控制組多,高階組比低階組多,但未達統計上顯著差異(p>.05)。結論,太極拳運動之強度中等,運動當中能量代謝的變化緩和,亦不會造成血乳酸的堆積,對免疫功能又有提升的效果,是一項十分適合中年人的運動。
