Due to the continually technological innovation and the product life cycle shortage, the nature of cooperation has greatly changed. Because of the long-term competition, the supplier capabilities and advantages have been gradually degraded. Therefore, under the present situation the factories in the past with competitive advantages have failed to attract customers and maintain the partner relationship. According to the transaction cost theory, the suppliers have difficulty to do transaction-specific investments or share information because the transaction-specific investments need a large amount of capital. However, it is not uncommon that the suppliers invest in transaction-specific investments for the customers. According to the real option theory, the concept, the suppliers investing in transaction-specific investments or sharing the information with the other suppliers, is similar to the premiums of the options. After holding the real option, suppliers expected that they could gain the extra profits; for instance, long-term cooperation. If suppliers lose the chance of cooperation, they will still improve themselves through the process. In other words, it is also given the suppliers another definition of extra profit which reflects the real situation. This methodology of this research is to take Synergy Development Center in Taiwan as research respondents. It has discussed that the effects of the transactional-specific investments and information sharing on long-term relationship orientation. This research, using the statistical analysis of the structure equation modeling (SEM), has surveyed 180 participants and discussed the relationships among every parameter. This research found that information sharings have a positive effect on long-term relationship. The supplier capabilities influenced negatively on the transaction-specific investments. The customer reputations and environment uncertainty positively affected the information sharing among suppliers.
