In this thesis, an old SMT machine platform is redesigned to become a PCB measuring machine platform. The man-machine interface in the old SMT machine platform is a MS-DOS interface. Since the speed of the old SMT machine platform can't compare with the modern one, the manufacturers mostly give it up. However, if these old SMT machine platforms are not dealt with carefully, they will cause quite great influence of the environment. Hence, the redesign of an old SMT machine platform not only reaches resource reuse but also has the idea of environmental protection.
In this thesis, the circuit of the old SMT machine platform is rearranged. To propose a new SMT machine platform, we have added several new parts in the old SMT machine platform. These new parts include a new PC, a new PLC, a new motor control board, and a new vision measure card. The new proposed SMT machine platform is an outstanding electromechanics which combines the machine platform, the PLC control, the air pressure control, the motor position control, the vision detection technique, and the Labview man-machine interface design technology.
Using the Labview software, we have proposed a new man-machine interface of the SMT machine platform in this thesis. The new proposed man-machine interface can detect PCB board in manual or automatic way. And it has the ability to store some vision samples and some motor position data in a file. The new proposed SMT machine platform can measure many pieces of printed circuit board in succession. Hence, the function of the new proposed SMT machine platform basically reaches the demand of production. In the future, we can further improve some functions of the proposed SMT machine platform and put it into the production line ranks of the factory directly.
