IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee規格的制定,也象徵無線感測網路走向了標準化,無線感測網路具有可靠、低成本、省電、容易建置、可程式化及可動態重組等特性,預估將可以取代傳統感測器應用系統。
由於多媒體資訊需要相當龐大的資料儲存空間,資料壓縮顯得重要且不能避免,如何讓影像資料經過壓縮處理後仍可擁有良好的品質,在本論文章節中將介紹靜態影像壓縮標準JPEG2000,探討如何實現此項技術的設計過程。
數位影像資料應用於新一代的無線網路傳輸系統,有時會造成網路嚴重擁塞,無形之中造成網路資源的過載浪費,資料經過壓縮技術處理將可大量減少儲存的空間,及縮短傳輸時間還能增加資訊的安全性等種種好處。未來自動化及數位化之家庭安全控制等各項技術發展,將結合各種多媒體存取服務、影像擷取器、感測器、控制器,進而整合應用於智慧家庭環境感知網路系統。本論文將就符合ZigBee無線網路技術規格之通訊架構,並舉例如何實現無線感測網路傳輸影像資料設計系統開發程序做一說明。
Wireless technologies represent reliable, cost-effective, programmable, easy deployment, and ad-hoc function and the appearance of IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee indicated the standardization of wireless sensor networks. The technology of wireless sensor network will be applied to replace traditional network technologies or implement new network applications such as a smart home network.
A huge amount of memory space is required to store multi-media information, and the technologies of data compression are thus important to those applications of media information. The standard of JPEG2000 and the technologies behind will be discussed and the solution to achieve high compression rate with good quality will be presented in this dissertation.
The applications of digital image data over the wireless network can cause heavy transmission loads to the network due to high communication rates and this kind of data transmission can be a big network management problem. The compressed data can reduce the requirement of memory space and also improve the transmission speed and security.
The development of home automation and digital home secure control is based on the smart home environment sensor network which is the integration of wireless networks with several kinds of multi-media services, image capture, sensors and controllers. The implementation process of a wireless network based on the ZigBee technology will be explained in this dissertation, and a wireless image transmission system over the ZigBee network will be shown afterwards.
