The information technology has been developing very rapidly in recent years. Its application has promotes globally the development and improvement on project management in different industries. A construction company must take necessary IT measures to have the competitive edge to control his market. Although the cost of a project relies on its design and planning stages, without effective operation and execution, cost planning becomes useless. Since the interfaces among different trades are numerous and complicated in a construction site, how to have effective management and planning of labor, equipment and material in the field is one of the most important issues in the project management. Thus, how to use e-learning and automation to integrate labor, equipment and material to have simultaneous control and effective management of a project becomes an important subject. In this research GPS/GIS will be combined with RFID technology to develop construction site management monitoring system and apply it in construction site. An inspector can operate the system directly to perform his monitoring routine. Through utilizing the merits of short and long range communication, labor and equipment in the construction activity can be integrated effectively with material management to have immediate operation control and save time and cost. This integrated environment can advance the e-learning capability and increase the competitive edge for the construction industry.
