產品生命週期若分為四個階段,分別為萌芽期、成長期、成熟期、衰退期。通常一個產品到了成熟期時,會更加的重視成本降低以換取更多利潤,因此易製性與易組裝性設計理論(Design for manufacture and assembly;DFMA)的設計可以有效的幫助成本降低。然而產品開發之中的概念設計階段,往往是決定產品成本與品質的關鍵。因此若能在產品新生時期的概念設計階段,即開始以DFMA的設計方法進行產品開發,必定能為產品開發與設計帶來更多的獲利。
另一方面,良好的概念溝通對於概念設計有正面幫助,徜若從資訊科技角度出發,現今所強調的協同溝通系統並不適合應用在概念溝通上。因此綜合上述觀點,本研究將以DFMA的設計方法,創新概念篩選程序。並透過VR技術創新協同溝通模式應用在概念溝通上,解決傳統概念視覺化溝通與互動上的不足。最後以統一塑模語言(Unified Modeling Language;UML)進行系統分析與設計,建構一套電腦輔助概念設計的協同溝通系統。
Product lifecycle can be divided into four stages, including initializing stage, evolving stage, maturing stage and declining stage. When a product gets into the mature stage, cost-down is usually the most important focus for industries to gain more profit. Therefore, design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) can be used to effectively reduce product cost. However, because the concept design phase in the product initializing stage is usually the key for defining the cost and the quality of the product, this draws an intention to the purpose of using DFMA in the concept design phase in order to gain more profit from the very beginning of the product launch.
On the other hand, because better design-concept communication is going to help developing better design concepts, and because the available collaborative communication e-business systems are not suitable for the application on concept design phase, this research will not only use DFMA for innovative concept design and filtering process, but also use virtual reality (VR) technologies for visualized collaborative concept-design communication. Hopefully, the outcome of this research will be able to resolve communication and interaction problems during concept-design phase. Based on above-mentioned ideas, this research will perform a complete system analysis and design process for a computer-aided concept design and collaborative communication system.
