電子郵件是網際網路的主要服務之一, 在企業的資訊系統建置當中它一直扮演著重要角色。 現今最常見的郵件軟體有IBM Lotus Notes與Microsoft Exchange兩種, 其中IBM Lotus Notes多了電子表單開發的附加價值,所以為一般企業廣泛採用。 故本論文以IBM Lotus Notes的郵件應用系統可能產生的故障事件作為預期發生故障的系統警示,並透過多維度的即時訊息通知工具來達到系統故障預期救援的目的。
目前市面上各類的郵件系統都具有自我檢測的工具,但尚無預期故障偵測與故障即時通知的功能。使得系統管理員需要花費大量的時間來檢視系統事件記錄報告,始能達到故障預期的目的。 雖然最新版本IBM Lotus Notes 7 增加系統運作監控的套件,且其功能僅限於整合系統運作事件的紀錄與報告而已,仍然缺乏預期故障的偵測與告知功能。
本研究利用資料挖掘的理論, 並透過Java Web Service事件偵測與通知模型來完成整個郵件系統故障預期通知的功能, 預期故障的系統設計模型係以分析系統事件記錄資料庫,再透過資料挖掘的叢集演算法觀念來挖掘可能導致系統故障的因子, 並經由Java 事件偵測即時且多維度的方式來通知系統管理員採取的應變措施。
The E-mail is one of the main services of an Internet network; it has been playing an important role in the construction of information system of e-industries. Currently, IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange are two types of software that are commonly used for serving this purpose. Due to the added features of electronic forms in IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Lotus Notes has become the most popular system that is used by industries. Therefore, this research is going to provide the auto alarm function for some possible trouble shootings in the IBM Lotus Notes mail system and to provide the instant messages function for detecting system failure in advance.
Most E-mail systems in the markets are equipped with auto-detection tools; however, there are no functions such as auto alarm to detect system failures in advance and instant messages when failures occurred in these E-mail systems. Lack of these functions will cause system management technicians lots of time to examine incident records in order to achieve the purpose of detecting expecting failures of the systems. Although the latest edition of IBM Lotus Notes 7 added the feature of system-operation monitors, this function is only limited in providing the combination of the record and report of the systematic operation incidents.
This research is tried to add the auto alarm and instant messages functions into the mail systems through utilizing the materials-excavating theory as well as through the incident-detection feature of Java Web Service. This expecting failures mode is designed by analyzing the system incidents database first, followed by the usages of algorithms of data mining to find out the factors that might cause system failures, and then through the Java incident detection to notify system management technicians in advance for the system failures through different aspects.
