本研究主要以油畫為創作媒材,並以懷舊的鄉情為研究主題,探討自然景觀的風情,並連繫兩者,呈現出人文大地的創作思維。經不斷地構圖、修改與實際創作的實驗與組合中,形成本研究的四個油畫創作內涵:建築藝術與自然之創作研究、人文藝術與風景的創作研究、寫實的自然景觀創作研究,宗教人文藝術的創作研究,透過這四個創作子題,形成本論文研究與創作的主題。
而在題材的選擇上,我體會到自然中的景物都是可以描繪的對象,只要用心體會生活,真誠關心我們所處的環境,那麼在生活中隨時隨地都能發現創作的靈感與題材。
基於上述這個理念,我本著明代董其昌提出的「讀萬卷書,行萬里路。」
的主張親自走訪了台北縣淡水漁人碼頭、金瓜石、九份、石碇、鶯歌、三峽祖師廟、台北市植物園、行天宮、台中縣大甲、南投縣藍田書院、台南市的古蹟、高雄打狗英國領事館…等。
在這些地方體會了人文與大地之美,將其轉化到創作上計有:1.靜諡的午後、2.寂靜的午後、3.小憩、4.她的背影、5. 被遺忘的角落、6.無限生機Ⅰ、7.無限生機Ⅱ、8無限生機Ⅲ、9生命的舞者、10.夏荷、11.綠色的荷葉、12.偶遇、13.山城故事-九份、14.石碇一隅、15.山與海的對話-金瓜石、16.淡水漁人碼頭、17.夏日午後、18.祈福Ⅰ、19.祈福Ⅱ、20.廟會、21.廟門口的石柱Ⅰ、22.廟門口的石柱Ⅱ。
期待能在此研究創作中,得到靈感與心得,為日後的藝術創作整理出一個努力的方向,也為這塊土地的風情與人文獻上一份真誠的禮讚。
In this research, oil painting has been chosen as the creative medium with nostalgic sentiments for the countryside as the theme in an attempt to examine the charms of natural landscapes. In addition, I have tried to establish a connection between the two concepts to present the creative thoughts for themes of culture and nature. After numerous experimentations and combinations of repeated drafting, modification and actual creation, I have come up with four themes of oil painting creations that will form the bulk of this paper: research of architectural art and natural creation; research of humanity art and scenic creation; research of realistic natural landscape creation and the research of religious cultural art creation. These four themes of creation will form the central idea for this research and the works I have created for the purpose of this research.
Regarding the choice of topic, I have come to the realization that every object and scenery of nature can be a target of depiction. As long as we experience life with a sincere heart and make an effort to genuinely care about the environment we are living in, we will always be able to find the inspiration and subject for creation at any point in our daily life.
To stay true to the belief I have proposed above, I have followed the famous words of “Read ten thousand scrolls of books and travel ten thousand miles” by Dong Qichang (a famous Ming Dynasty scholar) by personally visiting various locations of significance in Taiwan, including the Fishermen’s Wharf in Tamshui, Taipei County, Jinguashi, Jiofen, Shrding, Yingge, Temple of Sansha, Taipei Botanical Garden, Xingtian Temple, Tachia of Taichung County, Lantian Academy of Classical Learning in Nantou County, various historical sites in Tainan City, Kaoshiung’s British Consulate at Takao, etc.
After personally experiencing and witnessing the beauty of these cultural and natural landscapes, I have created the following works that were inspired by the locations stated above: 1. A Serene Afternoon; 2. A Silent Afternoon; 3. Short Rest; 4. The Sight of Her Back; 5. The Forgotten Corner; 6. Unlimited Vitality I; 7. Unlimited Vitality II; 8. Unlimited Vitality Ⅲ; 9. The Dancer of Life; 10. Lotus In A Summer Day; 11. The Emerald Lotus Leaf; 12. A Rare Encounter; 13. The Tale of A Mountain City – Jiofen; 14. A Glimpse of Shrding; 15. The Exchange Between the Mountain and the Ocean – Jinguashi; 16. Fishermen’s Wharf in Tamshui; 17. A Summer Day Afternoon; 18. Praying For Good Fortune I; 19. Praying For Good Fortune II; 20. The Temple Fair; 21. The Stone Pillar At the Temple’s Entrance I; and 22. The Stone Pillar At the Temple’s Entrance II.
I hope that my research may benefit aspiring artists by providing them with inspiration and my personal experience, and that my mere contributions may serve as a pointer for a potential path that future artistic creation can take. Finally, I would like to dedicate this research as my sincere tribute to the Taiwanese way of life and culture.
