本文主要以次級資料統計探討影響台灣螺絲扣件產業赴大陸及東南亞投資總額之地主國區位因素。模型設定以台灣螺絲扣件產業赴大陸及東南亞投資總額為應變數,而以影響大陸及東南亞總體經濟各項因素為自變數,實證期間為1999年~2006年共8年32季,模型分析方法是以縱橫面資料(panel data)作迴歸分析,欲找出對台灣螺絲產業海赴大陸及東南亞投資有影響力的地主國區位特性因素。

經實證分析結果,本研究以大陸與東南亞分三組情況分析是有部份差異,並且先前文獻的研究結果不相同,如市場構面的個人所得及群聚因素等,但本文加入的虛擬變數(恐怖攻擊事件)在三模型都有顯著影響。

1.基礎建設完善與否仍是台灣螺絲扣件產業赴大陸及東南亞投資設廠重要選擇因素。
2.以出口為導向的台灣螺絲產業,在選擇投資地區因素與地主國進出口貿易活絡程度呈現正向相關。
3.台灣中小企業為主的螺絲產業,在恐怖攻擊事件後,對地主國對投資財產安全保護,視為重要選擇因素。

Abstract

This study used secondary data statistics to discuss the location factors of the host country affecting the investment in China and Southeastern Asia for Taiwan screw fastener industry. Model was established, using total investment amount Taiwan screw fastener industry in China and Southeastern Asia as dependent variable; the factors affecting the macroeconomics in China and Southeastern Asia as independent variable. The research period was eight years from 1999 to 2006, for a total of 32 quarters. Panel data were used for regression analysis as model analysis method to find the location factors of the host country that affect the investment of Taiwan screw industry in China and Southeastern Asia.
The results of analysis showed that there are partial differences among three groups of case analysis in China and Southeastern Asia, which is different from the previous research results in literature reviews, for example, the personal income and cluster factors in the aspect of market. In addition, the dummy variable (such as terrorist attack event) added in this study resulted in significant difference in all three models.
1. The completeness of basic construction is an important selection factor for investment of Taiwan screw fastener industry in China and Southeastern Asia.
2. There is positive correlation between investment location selection and the activeness of the import/export trade in the host country for Taiwan screw industry, which is an export-oriented industry.
3. Taiwan screw industry, which is mainly comprised of small and medium-sized enterprises, considers the protection on investment property offered by the host country as an important selection factor after the terrorist attack.
