本研究之目的乃是運用質性研究之方式，探討妥瑞症青少年其父母之親職壓力內涵，透過半結構式的深度訪談訪問六位妥瑞症青少年之父母，除了探究壓力源的本質之外，亦試圖瞭解父母的因應方式及父母親為妥瑞症青少年的學習適應，所經歷的親師合作經驗。最後，根據訪談結果進行資料分析，得到以下結論。
親職壓力的內涵包含妥瑞症狀、病因歸因、父母的自我覺知、親子互動關係等。綜合整理妥瑞症青少年其父母的親職壓力內涵有四項：病症本質帶來高度且持續之壓力感、社交行為成為未來持續影響父母之壓力源、帶著自責的心情面對孩子患病的事實、親子關係狀態因人而異。
針對上述之壓力內涵，父母親的因應方式為：（一）藉由積極尋求醫療、網路資訊、病友家庭等支持系統之拓展與經驗提供，有助於安撫父母親面對妥瑞症各種變化帶來的衝擊與壓力。（二）從「接受妥瑞症存在的事實」、「正向調整父母本身的心態」、「正向鼓勵孩子」、「重新定義對疾病的認知」等，以正向態度看待孩子生病事件。（三）夫妻建立共識且彼此支持、相互抒解壓力，研究也發現，父母的教養共識也反映在彌補性的教養行為。
親師合作經驗方面，妥瑞症青少年其父母與學校之互動中發現，教師知能不足會形成親師互動之障礙，且身心障礙生的相關策略需考量使用，大部分父母並不贊同將妥瑞症學生視為特殊學生；此外，妥瑞症青少年與同儕之相處亦需重視與積極處理；父母親在親師互動中仍須扮演積極主動之角色，並與導師建立合作同盟之關係。
最後，根據研究結果與發現，分別針對家長、學校老師、相關照護人員以及未來相關主題研究者提出建議，以作為進一步的提醒與參考。

This qualitative study aims to investigate the parenting stress of parents with Tourette syndrome adolescents by semi-structured interviews with six parents. Except for discussing the stressor, the study tries to understand parents’ coping strategies and their experiences collaborating with teachers.
Above all, the parenting stress comes from the symptoms of Tourette syndrome, the cause of Tourette syndrome, the self-awareness of parents, and the relations among parent-child interaction, etc. After integrated the data, there are four parenting stresses. First, the ailment brings intensive and continued pressure to parents. Second, children’s social behavior becomes the continued stressor of parents in the future. Third, parents face their Tourette syndrome child with self-blaming feeling. Fourth, parent-child relation differs from different family.
Secondly, based on the previous discussion, parents coping strategies are as follow: first, the support system and experiences of being active to search for medical help, Internet information, and fellow patients are helpful, while parents are dealing with the pressure. Second, parents should face the illness with positive attitude, like “accepting the Tourette syndrome,” “adjusting their thoughts and attitude toward the illness,” “encouraging children,” and “redefining the knowing of the ailment.”
Thirdly, with respect to the parents-teacher collaboration, the insufficient knowledge of teacher may block the interaction between parents and teacher. Besides, most parents disagree with regarding Tourette syndrome student as special student. Teachers need to be aware of using related strategies of disability while teaching Tourette syndrome student. Moreover, it is important to deal with the relation between Tourette syndrome adolescence and other peers. Parents must work with homeroom teacher and play the active role in the parents-teacher interaction.
At last, according to the finding of this study, it is expected that the reminding and suggestions are useful for parents, teachers, related caring staff, and future researchers.
