無線通訊網路發展快速,近年來政府正努力積極推動相關計劃來發展無線網路,讓無線網路達成無所不在的環境。而目前新興的WiMax無線寬頻廣域網路技術,由於距離遠、傳輸快,越來越多研究投入這塊相關領域,希望能讓這個技術更早商業化,目前台灣M-Taiwan計劃也已經架構了相關實驗環境於各個主要都市。本論文結合GPS技術提出了一套使用於802.16e網路整合智慧型車機系統環境架構的換手機制,叫做Intelligent Mobile Network Handoff Mechanism。
The wireless communication industry is developing rapidly. During the past few years, the government has made great efforts in setting up wireless network reaching every location without boundaries. With the new wireless technology called Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, there will be higher throughput and distance in the wireless communication and thus more research and investment in this new technology. The project M-Taiwan has already performed experiments in every major city so that commercialization of this technology will be possible.
Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access works in conjunction with GPS technology named Intelligent Mobile Network Handoff Mechanism to bring up an ideal use for Handoff when WiMax work in Intelligent Transport Systems.Our proposal handoff algorithm combine the GPS technology to provide the WiMax Base Station position on the route focus. We use our algorithm to route the map information to predict the target BSs on the route for handoff. This can greatly reduce the handoff times and the channel utility rate let the system become more stable.Compare with others methods and handoff process in 802.16e standard.Our proposal can vastly improve the handoff times, reduce packet delay and loss with total users in the system.
