3.以Pearson積差相關分析M-ABC測驗得分與QA、QB得分之相關性則發現男性DCD成人在M-ABC 測驗中之「平衡技巧」與其在QA4(兒童移動/環境變動,r=0.75)、QB2(避免撞到障礙物,r=0.70)、QB4(平衡,r=0.80)之得分呈正相關;而女性DCD成人在M-ABC測驗中之「球類技巧」與其QB5(與動作相關的情緒困擾,r=0.61)有正相關。
Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) was a situation defined as very poor motor performance without mental or other clinical diseases. The disorder can affect one’s daily living functions and academic achievements. Purpose of this study was to investigate the self-perception and emotional disturbance related to motor performance of adults with DCD. The motor test for 11-12 year-old level of Movement Assessment Battery for Children (M-ABC) was utilized to evaluate the motor performance of participants. Nine male and 8 female undergraduates were confirmed with DCD. An age and gender matched control group were also recruited in this study. All participants filled out the Chinese version M-ABC checklist for 11-12 year-old level (QA) and the Questionnaire of present motor insight (QB) to express their self-perception of motor performance (QA1-4, QB1-4) and emotional disturbance (QA5, QB5). The results demonstrated that the scores of QA1-4 (6.60±1.8), QB1-4 (4.12±1.0), QA5 (9.87±1.5) and QB5 (7.45±1.1) were significantly higher than those of controls (2.83±1.0, 2.00±0.6, 5.62±1.1 and 4.38±0.8, unpaired t-test, p < .05), respectively. The QA1-4 of female DCD (8.79±2.4) was significantly higher than male DCD (4.42±1.2, unpaired t-test, p < .05). Neither difference was found in scores of B1-4, nor in QA5 and QB5 between male and female DCD participants. The correlation between M-ABC motor test and QA or QB demonstrated that balance correlated with QA4 (subject move/environment move, r=0.75), QB2 (avoiding obstruction, r=0.7) and QB4 (balance, r=0.8) of male DCD. However, the M-ABC test of ball skill was correlated with QB5 (emotional disturbance with motor performance, r=0.61). Thus, adults with DCD can perceive their poor motor performance since grade 5 or 6 in elementary school and the insight of females is higher than males. Besides, DCD adults are suffered with more emotional
disturbances than normal peers in daily life.
