生活型態的改變與高齡人口增多促使台灣面對慢性疾病帶來的預防與治療大量需求，在醫療技術與資訊科技進步的同時，這些新興科技的應用將會幫助代謝症候群患者方便的獲得足夠居家醫療照護，落實預防保健制度的施行與推展。
本研究運用iNPD的產品開發程序，經過多方省思產品的目標族群所處環境的社會、科技、經濟趨勢，反覆依定義機會、了解機會、概念化機會以及實現機會四階段檢視原先找到的產品機會，不斷調整聚焦於符合使用者需求的產品機會，找出代謝症候群居家自我健康照護的需求與其市場機會。
以長庚大學的經濟部學界開發『智慧型高齡者照護用臨床醫材研發』科專計畫中所研發出來的衛教知識管理服務系統為核心，所提出的互動式人性化衛生教育功能，能夠契合代謝症候群患者的實際需要，真正將健康自我管理的觀念落實運用於一般人的日常生活。
本技術報告的主要成果為：1. iNPD的流程找出契合代謝症候群需求的衛教知識管理服務系統，2. 創新的網站服務對於落實預防醫學的貢獻。如此以使用者導向的創新設計與研討，能提供協助醫療產業轉型的創新價值，建立新產品服務成功營運的基礎。

The trends of lifestyle changing and elder people increasing in Taiwan bring huge demands of prevention and treatment for chronic diseases. At the same time, both medical and information technology improve speedy, the development of high technology will easily help chronic disease, like metabolic syndrome, patients to receive enough homecare service.
This study uses iNPD (integrated new product development) method and follows the four process (identifying, understanding, conceptualizing, realizing the opportunity), focus on the real demand of end user, and finally find the product opportunity gap on the homecare market of metabolic syndrome patients.
The application of Health Knowledge Management Service comes from the co-operation of Chung-Gung University and Chung-Gung Hospital, figure out the interactive function for the public medical education, and make disease prevention and health self-management realize on everyone’s life.
There are two main results from this study. First, the iNPD process catches the real need of metabolic syndrome patient’s homecare service for medical knowledge. Secondly, an innovative website service provides a way to keep people healthy.
