In the past, the Taiwanese government has invested a large amount of resources and finances into urban development for the key economic developments of the nation. Although the metropolises have complete infrastructure and economic development, and brought prosperous economic development for Taiwan, the local economies have been harmed. In the recent years, due to the rise of native consciousness, the local governments have begun to rethink and initiate the revival of local industries. The revival of local industries not only is affected by social, policy, and economic aspects, more directly with local community development , tourism, and marketing of local industries. Wanggong is a coastal village near Fangyuan Township, Changhua County. The local residents rely on oyster farming and sea farming as the main economic industry. The rise of tourism industry in the recent years has brought opportunities for the local development. Therefore, integrating local industrial marketing and community development is a topic worth discussing. This research used literature review for analysis and generalization, field investigation, questionnaire survey, and statistical analysis to discuss the environmental resources of Wanggong, specialties of the local industries, and direction of community development. It also suggested development positioning and goals for community development, local resident participation, and local industrial marketing strategies, based on external forces of people (community organization, residents), resources (natural, ecological, and cultural), and industries (oyster farming, sea farming, and local food), and proposed follow-up marketing strategies and methods. The results showed that the recreational tourism development of Wanggong has many unique advantages, including rich cultural, industrial, natural, ecological, and community resources. Therefore, this study suggested rethinking the local industrial development from aspects of “regional marketing”, “strategic planning”, “local industrial specialties”, and “community development”, and using systematic marketing strategies and joint force of residents, develop three major goals: first, by Wang Kung specific resources, the establishment of ecological education of the fishing village, active local leisure tourism; Second, the revitalization of local industries, the development of local creative industries; third, to promote Wanggong local industries, tourism resources and society for community organization of integrated marketing. Hope that through development goals and strategic for practices to revive local tourism, industrial marketing, and the community, in order to create the unique features of the community, and future active the vitality of the community development and local economy.
