The alliance is one of the ways to obtain competitive advantage for enterprise, but the proportion of failure for strategic alliance partnership is highly. The communication and dealings of partner, sharing information are play a decisive role in factors to the success alliance, those are effect the development of alliance partnership. The formerly researches only emphasizes in the importance of communication or the pitch of communicated frequency, and communication is just a tool, which ignore the meanings of sequential and the power domination relation in communicated process.
The alliance partners of communicate includes two ways, first, traditional interpersonal meeting. Second, after IT grow up, alliance partners could transmit information rapidly through internet. The research is focus on which side is effect the way of communications between alliance partners, and directs the flow of information transmit.
The research adopts Structuration Theory, which advance by Giddens, to discuss about three modalities of alliance including pooled, sequential and reciprocal, and the meanings of signification, domination and legitimation in Structuration Theory. According to the results, alliance partners needs to communicate each other, but the way of communication which effect by the modality of alliance. The modality of pooled alliance is pay attention to face-to-face in communication, partners who own the technique has great power than others; the modality of sequential alliance makes the decisions for the communicated way and the content information of order manufacturer; and the modality of reciprocal grasps power by core companies, which includes the price, quality and delivery.
