Web 2.0的時代已經來臨。每個人都參與了網路的世界，例如：影像分享網站Youtube，以及線上百科全書維基百科。每個人都能上傳或者編寫屬於他們自己的作品或者想法到網路上。維基百科是多國語言、網路為基礎、免費的百科全書。它是靠著全世界的自願者去編寫或者維護的。因為維基允許每一個註冊的人去編輯或者更正條目的內容，因此在維基百科學習其內容，正確性以及效率變成了重要的議題。在此篇論文中，我們利用統計去測試了維基百科的實用性。一些基礎的統計概念會被選出來當成測試的目標。其目的為是否統計這門學問在維基百科裡是否能夠去取代一般的統計百科全書。

The era of Web 2.0 is coming. Everyone can participate in the Internet world; for example, video sharing website YouTube and online encyclopedia Wikipedia. Everyone can upload or edit their own work or ideas on these websites. Wikipedia is a multilingual, web-based, free content encyclopedia project, which is maintained collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world. Because Wikipedia allows every registered browser to edit and correct its content, the website is maintained by everyone, but without validation. Hence, to learn the content from Wikipedia, correctness and effectiveness become a concern. In this study, we will test the practicability of Wikipedia by a common course in colleges, Statistics. Some fundamental equations will be chosen as the testing targets. The objective is to test if the Statistics in Wikipedia good enough to replace encyclopedias or a common statistics encyclopedia.
