目前所發表過得文章，大部分都還是利用OM來解釋銀行生產效率。而本篇文章是國內首次利用Maniadakis and Thanassoulis (2004)所提出的生產力指數方法來推導生產面Malmquist生產力指數(IM)與成本面Malmquist生產力指數(CM)。並進一步分解成生產技術效率變動指數(△TE)、配置效率變動指數(△AE)、技術變動指數(△T)和投入要素價格變動指數(△PE)。最後，將此方法，應用於台灣地區本國銀行產業的生產面與成本面的效率與生產力分析。由實證結果分析，1995-2003年台灣地區銀行產業在此期間生產力並無顯著的進步與成長，且生產技術效率(TE)與要素配置效率(AE)均有衰退的趨勢。另外，本文將公司治理特性納入考量，其目的是為探討銀行業公司治理特性與銀行經營效率之關聯性。其實證結果顯示，適當的擴大董事會規模以及有效地控制董監事持股比率與質押比率，皆有助於提昇整體銀行效率與生產力。

The present articles almost used the OM to explain the production efficiency of Bank. And this paper reference Maniadakis and
Thanassoulis (2004) by the productivity of production-index method is derived Malmquist productivity index (IM) and the cost of Malmquist productivity index (CM).The cost of Malmquist productivity index which is comprised of cost efficiency and technical change, can be further decomposed into four components: production technical efficiency change, allocative efficiency change,technical efficiency change, and input-price effect, to estimate the productivity change in the Taiwanese banking industry.Empirical Analysis 1995-2003 in Taiwan banking industry during this period there was no significant progress in productivity and growth, and production of technical efficiency (TE) and the elements of allocation efficiency (AE) have been recession trend. In addition, this article will take into consideration of corporate governance, which aims to explore the the banking industry and corporate governance of banks operating efficiency of relevance. In fact, results show that card, the appropriate scale of the expansion of the Board of Trustees as well as the effective control of the board of directors of the shareholding ratio pledge ratio, banks are helped improve the overall efficiency and productivity. Appropriate expansion size of the Board and the effective control of Insider Holding rate and the ratio of shares pledged to shares held by directors and supervisors, To improve the overall efficiency and productivity of the banks.
