臺灣地區原生及馴化的被子植物,共有190科1,257屬3,681種。在植物體的營養器官上著生與授粉無關的腺體,即為花外蜜腺,其主要功能是吸引螞蟻或其他動物來取食蜜液,藉此使其穿梭來回於植物體之上,間接驅逐食草動物使其退避,以保護植物避免食草動物啃食葉子。本文查閱有關著書的記述資料,並進行野外調查研究,彙整作成基本資料庫,共記錄12科25屬53種具有花外蜜腺,以大戟科具有花外蜜腺的百分率居冠(24.5 %),其次為薔薇科(11.3 %)。著生位置共可歸納為葉柄、葉基、葉背脈腋、葉緣、葉軸、托葉邊緣等6類型,著生位置在葉基最多(52.8 %),其次為葉柄( 35.8 %)。外觀形態共可歸納為鈕型、杯型、柄型、坑型、孔型、斑點型等6種類型,以鈕型最多(41.5 %),其次為坑型(18.9 %)。這些花外蜜腺形態各有其來源發生的分化變異,可作為探討分類演化之依據。
There are 3,681 species,belonged to 1,257 genera and 190 families,to be found in the angiosperms of Taiwan.The glands have been developing in the vegetative organs to be called the extrafloral nectaries which’s function is to attract ants or other insects crawling over plants and reduce vegetative damage. According to the recording information of relevant book and our studies by the observation of fresh materials,we can compile to make into a basic database.Extrafloral nectaries occur in 12 families 25 genera and 53 species.They most occurred in the Euphorbiaceae(24.5%),and then Rosaceae(11.3%).They are found at petiolar,laminar base,dorsal vein,leaf margin,rachis,and stipular margin,i.e. 6 types.By the analysis of percentage of each type,we find the most occurred in the laminar base which is 52.8%,and then petiole(35.8%).They have Button-shaped, Cup-shaped,Stalk-shaped,Pit-shaped,Pore-shaped,and Fleck-shaped,i.e. 6 types.By the analysis of percentage of each type,we find the most occurred is Button-shaped(41.5%),and then Pit-shaped(18.9%).These extrafloral nectaries could be developed and diversified.The characteristics of extrafloral nectaries could be important in the taxonomic application.
