本研究主要在探討數學寫作活動對國中生數學學習表現之影響，其目的如下：(一)探討數學寫作活動對國二學生數學成就的影響；(二)探討數學寫作活動對國二學生數學態度的影響；(三)分析分析學生數學週記內容；(四)分析學生對於數學寫作活動的感受和想法；(五)探討實施數學寫作活動所面臨的問題與因應解決方式，作為提供未來研究及教學應用上的參考。
本研究採用「不等組前測－後測設計」，以彰化縣立某國中兩班二年級學生共74名為研究對象，其中實驗組37 名，接受「數學寫作活動」；控制組37名，接受「一般教學活動」，兩班皆由研究者擔任教學工作，進行為期14週之教學活動。並以單因子共變數分析來考驗「假設一」與「假設二」。此外，針對實驗組學生之「數學寫作態度問卷」進行半開放的調查，開放性問題則進行百分比統計及原因的歸納。本研究的重要發現：
一、兩組學生之數學成就測驗未達顯著差異。
二、兩組學生之數學態度量表測驗未達顯著差異。
三、數學寫作在實際教學上的助益：可反應學生的數學概念理解、幫助學生記錄自己的回饋、分析與反思、可做為師生間溝通的工具、可成為教師教學診斷工具。
四、學生對數學寫作活動普遍持正向態度，認為數學寫作有助於提升數學成績。
五、研究者在實行數學寫作活動時，所遭遇的問題有：學生反應作業量增加、學生反應不知如何著手、學生反應題型太少、教師的工作量增加等，並進一步針對此問題提出解決之道。
最後，研究者根據本研究的結果提出建議，作為數學寫作活動在國中數學教育及未來研究上之參考。

The main purpose of this research was to investigate how mathematical writing activity would affect the eighth-grade students’ math achievement and math attitude. On the other hand, it also investigated that how math writing would help teach in the practical teaching environment. The main purposes were as follows:
1. To investigate the effects of mathematical writing activity on eight grade students’ mathematics achievement.
2. To explore the effects of mathematical writing activity on eight grade students’ mathematics attitude.
3. To analyze the content of mathematical writing .
4. To analyze students' feeling and thoughts about the mathematical writing activity.
5. To describe the problems in doing mathematical writing activity and the solutions as reference resources for further research and teaching application.
“The nonequivalent-groups pretest-posttest design” was used in this study and the subjects were 74 eight graders from two classes at a Junior High School in Changhua County. The treatment group consisted of 37 subjects took curriculum with mathematical writing activity and the control group consisted of 37 subjects took curriculum with the regular mathematical curriculum. Both classes were taught by the researcher for 14 weeks. The researcher used one way analysis of variance to test Hypothesis 1 and Hypothesis 2. The statistics of percentage were carried out by the half open-ended questions.


The important results of this study were as follows:
1.There was no significant difference on the scores of the mathematics achievement tests between the two groups.
2.There was no significant difference on mathematics attitude scale between the two groups.
3.The benefits in actual teaching of mathematics writing: it can reflect students’ comprehend concepts of the math, help students to record their own feedback, analyses and make a self-examination. Besides, it can be the tool between teachers and students, and it was a diagnostic tool for teaching mathematics.
4.Most of the students had positive attitude to mathematical writing activity. They considered that math writing can help them learning math much better.
3.The problems confronted by the researcher in doing mathematical writing activity were the increasing amount of assignments, some students’ problems in doing mathematical writing activity, some students feedback writing too little and the increasing amount of teacher’s tasks.
At last, according to the results of the study, the researcher made some suggestions as reference resources of the effects of mathematical writing activity on mathematics education in junior high school and the further research.
