本研究試著探討不同程度的國三學生於英語聽力理解過程中使用策略的情形,並藉由聽力策略的教學,探討其對國三生聽力的影響,另外也試著去探究只有聽力教材訓練是否能增進學生的聽力,以及聽力策略教學是否對不同程度的國中生有不同的影響。
本研究以彰化縣某國中三年級三班學生共97位為研究對象,分別為實驗組34人、教材組29人以及控制組34人,實驗組學生先填寫聽力策略使用的問卷調查,且三組學生在實驗前後分別進行聽力測驗的前後測。
根據研究結果,本研究主要發現如下:
1.聽力程度優者與聽力程度差者在聽力策略的使用上有顯著的差異。
2.接受聽力策略教學的實驗組學生的聽力表現顯著優於只有聽力教材卻未接受聽力策略的教材組學生。
3. 教材組學生經過聽力教材的訓練後,在後測的得分高於沒有聽力教材、也沒
有聽力策略學習的控制組學生。
4.不同程度的實驗組學生經過聽力策略的教學後,其聽力表現有顯著差異,尤其 是中聽力程度的學生在聽力表現顯著優於高聽力程度的學生。
最後,研究者根據本研究結果,對國中實施聽力策略教學方案及未來研究提出具體建議,以供參考。

This study was aimed: (1) to investigate if the ninth graders at different English listening levels were different in applying listening strategy, and (2) to investigate the effects of listening strategy instruction and the effects of listening materials without strategy instruction, and (3) to investigate the effects of listening strategy instruction on the students at various levels.
The subjects were 97 ninth-grade junior high school students from three classes in Changhua County with 34 in the experimental group, 29 in the material group and 34 in the control group. The students in the experimental group filled out the questionnaire of listening strategy in the pre-experimental period. In addition, the pre- and post-tests of listening comprehension were given to the students from three groups to investigate their listening ability.
The findings were as follows:
1.There were significant differences in applying listening strategy between high-level listening proficiency students and low-level listening proficiency students.
2.Students in the experimental group who received the listening strategy instruction performed significantly better on listening comprehension than students in the material group who only received listening material practice.
3.Students in the material group who received the listening material practice performed significantly better on listening comprehension than students in the control group who didn’t receive any listening instruction.
4.Students at various listening levels in the experimental group performed significantly differently on listening comprehension and intermediate-level listening proficiency students outperformed high-level listening proficiency students.
Based on the findings, some suggestions were given to teachers and future research.
