瑜珈之體位法的主要特性為多種體位變換、深呼吸、意識集中和動作控制,冥想則為深呼吸和意識集中,上述皆與影響自律神經的部份因子有關聯;本研究旨在探討體位法或冥想對於健康年輕女性之自律神經活性和心血管反應立即及恢復期效應,及比較兩種瑜珈模式之間的影響差異。受測者(n=13,25.42 ± 1.51歲)皆有瑜珈經驗(15.85 ±9.68 次/年)、無規律運動習慣。受測者須練習體位法和冥想各3次,然後分4天從事30分鐘的體位法或冥想各2次(隨機決定順序),每次至少相隔2天;在從事體位法或冥想之前、終止時和30分鐘後,測量血壓、心率和自律神經活性,以重複量數單因子變異數分析比較3個時序差異,以相依樣本t考驗比較兩種瑜珈模式之變化百分比差異;在運動中監測運動心率和運動知覺指數以評估運動強度,以相依樣本t考驗和魏克遜符號等級考驗比較兩種瑜珈模式的差異,顯著水準皆定α= .05。結果:體位法與冥想均為低強度,體位法的運動心率、運動強度顯著較高(p< .001)。體位法的立即性效應為低頻功率百分比、心率和血壓顯著高於基準值(p<.05),使交感神經活性為強勢;而恢復期效應出現逆轉,高頻功率百分比驟增顯著高於基準值(p< .001)而使迷走神經活性佔優勢,心率(p<.05)和低頻功率百分比(p< .001)顯著低於基準值。冥想的立即性效應為降低低頻功率百分比,提昇高頻功率百分比顯著高於基準值(p<.05),心率和血壓顯著低於基準值(p<.05),維持迷走神經活性為強勢至恢復期且變化較為趨緩,僅交感神經活性變化較為劇烈。兩種瑜珈模式的立即性效應明顯不同且相反,但恢復期效應相似且無顯著差異。結論為從事單次體位法和冥想後30分鐘,同樣能有效提昇迷走神經活性高於基準值,有效抑制交感神經活性和降低心率低於基準值,只是影響的過程不同。
The major characteristics of the Asana include a variety of body postures, deep breath control, concentration and motor control. In contrast, these of the Dhyana include deep breath control and concentration. All of the characteristics may affect the autonomic nerves system activity (ANSA). The purpose of the present study was to investigate the immediate and the recovery effect of the Yoga on the ANSA, heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) in the healthy young female. The different effects between the Yoga modes (the Asana and the Dhyana) were also compared. The subjects (n=13, 25.42±1.51 yr.) had experienced Yoga exercises (15.85±9.68 times/yr), but no regular exercise in the recent one year. Before the experiment, subjects practiced the Asana and the Dhyana 3 times, respectively. The ANSA, HR and BP were measured before, immediately after and 30 min after each single intervention of either the Asana or the Dhyana. The HR were monitored and recorded during each single intervention (30 min), and that of the Asana was significantly higher than the Dhyana (p< .001). The exercise intensity of either the Asana or the Dhyana was low, but that of the Asana was also significantly higher than the Dhyana (p< .001). LFnu, HR and BP increased significantly, HFnu acutely decreased significantly (p< .05) immediately after the Asana. The HR and LFnu decreased significantly (p< .05; p< .001), and HFnu also increased significantly (p< .001) 30min after the Asana. These outcomes were significantly different from these before the Asana, indicating dominance shifting from SNA to VNA. In contrast, HFnu increased significantly (p<.05), LFnu, HR and BP decreased immediate after the Dhyana. There were similar effects 30min after the Dhyana. The recovery effect was higher than the immediate effect, both on HFnu and LFnu. As a whole, the Dhyana resulted in VNA became the dominance and without shifting. Finally, there were no significant differences between the Asana and Dhyana on ANSA and HR, both enhanced VNA and inhibited SNA possibly through different processing mechanisms.
