The purpose of the study is to know the effects of aerobic exercise on metabolic syndromes and heart rate variability in middle-high aged women.. 20 women aged from 40-65 undertook group aerobic exercise for 3 months(3 times/week, 50 min/time), and we measured the waist circumference, fasting blood sugar, blood lipid, blood pressure, and heart rate variability(HRV) before and after the intervention of BMI. The results are the women with metabolic syndrome disorder have lower HRV such as low frequency spectral power(LF)(p=.043), high frequency spectral power(HF)(p=.031), and total power(TP)(p=.041), compared with those without metabolic syndrome disorder. Furthermore, after the group aerobic exercise training, the number of their metabolic syndrome disorder decrease 0.8(p=.021), total cholesterol decline 29.58mg/dL (p=.040), and HF spectral power raise 1.33ms2(p=.021). After the exercise intervention all the subjects’ BMI and waist circumference are lost(p<.001). But there is no significant difference in blood sugar and blood pressure. In conclusion we find that women with metabolic syndrome disorder have lower HRV i.e. and the ability of modulation or activity of autonomic nerve is decreased. After middle-vigorous group aerobic exercise training for 3 months, the BMI and waist circumference are decreased significantly even though their diet are not under control, but there is no significant change in blood pressure and blood sugar. In addition, the intervention can decrease the number of metabolic syndrome disorder, improve HF spectral power and increase the activity of parasympathetic nerve, nevertheless, have no effect on sympathetic nerve(LF/HF p=.07).
