地球暖化已經成為人類目前最關切的環境顯學之一,面對這個現象帶來的種種環境挑戰,我們的努力更刻不容緩.本篇論文意圖在大尺度的都市發展上做探討,在環境變遷的議題裡討論城市相貌演變的過程.
探討的前提是因應海平面上升,城市面臨轉型必要所需的應對.這是一段漸進演變的過程,是具有持續性且合理的.在此前提下以台北市首當其衝的一塊代表性基地為題,從環境影響產業經濟'人口變遷'空間居住形式等等的面向出發,描繪一個城市未來的藍圖.目的在模擬一個過程,並闡述一個願景,描述台北如何演進成一個未來符合原有機能及空間要求的可居住永續都市.
本研究除了提供一個可行的都市設計策略之外,也能讓致力環境改善的研究者從另一個角度對待空間議題,並從中衍生出更多的想法來因應未來嚴峻的環境挑戰.
Researchers of architecture have often suggested that global warming has become a very important issue. However, research which has empirically built the link between the environmental effects of global warming and urban design is scarce. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to explore how a metropolis transforms to cope with environmental changes.
This research involved a design concerning the area in Taipei that will most likely be the first to be affected by global warming. The analysis of the impacts, including rising water, industry, population, and lifestyle was conducted in order to simulate the evolution process of a sustainable city. By running this simulation, we can more clearly realize the potential problems in urban design that will appear in the near future.
In short, results of this study not only show a feasible strategy, but also provide future researchers a new perspective with which to consider urban space issues.
