隨著衛星定位技術的成熟與終端產品的推陳出新,人們利用 GPS 相關產品進行各種日常生活的應用已日漸普及,因此對駕駛者而言,車用導航應用若能隨著當時交通狀況,動態的定時修正行駛動線,將可即時避開擁塞路段,提升導航品質。RDS-TMC在即時路況導航應用服務之中應用最廣泛,是利用調頻副載波廣播,播報即時交通及天氣資訊中的一種通訊應用,用戶需利用裝置有 TMC 接收器之終端產品進行訊號之接收與解碼,在接收交通資訊訊號的同時,可同步收聽廣播,不會互相產生干擾,且用戶可依據需要選擇不同的資訊呈現方式,例如文字、簡單圖形和語言等。
本篇論文的目標為完成一TMC接收模組,此模組內含一TMC接收晶片及一顆C8051微處理器;其中TMC接收晶片會將所接收到的RDS格式的訊息,透過I2C BUS傳到模組內的C8051微處理器,此微處理器再將解碼的訊息轉換成一般圖資軟體可讀標準格式(NMEA CODE),透過UART BUS傳送到大部份車用導航所採用的ARM平台以進行解析,甚至更進一步能將接收到的交通訊息,解譯成使用者所看到的訊息,或是在圖資軟體上顯示事件訊息;相信在不久的將來RDS系統一定會成為行車必備資訊。
As the satellite oriented technology has matured and relative products of GPS have been utilized day by day. There are strong demands that PND (Personal Navigation Device) can be developed to a device that provides users an alternative routes regularly to avoid congested highway section in real time.
RDS-TMC is the most extensive application of real-time navigation. This system can improve the quality of navigation with instant traffic and weather information conveyed through sub-carrier on FM broadcast. All terminal products with TMC receiver can decode the signal and listen to the radio at the same time. After the message has been decoded, navigation application has a choice on how these information be presented, a short messages, simple video graphics or audio reminder; to name a few.
The main goal of this thesis is to implement a TMC receiving module that based on an embedded system. In this system, a RF receiver and one C8051 microprocessor are employed. After the demodulation of the TMC sub-carrier, the RF chip can transfer the traffic information to microprocessor with RDS format through I2C bus. For this information to be suitable on most of the navigation applications format, a microprocessor needs to translate the data from RDS to Open TMC standard form (NMEA CODE). The navigation application can now present the information through LCD screen.
TMC will not only improve the quality of navigation and driving experience but also enhances the driving safety. It is definitely an indispensable navigation partner in the future.
