當區域有線網路發展成無線網路後,相關半導體感測器的發展亦日趨成熟,結合感測器於區域無線網路為當今熱門的研究領域。但感測器的硬體設計以成本、體積與耗電為主要考量,因此在無線感測器網路中,裝置節點本身所配備之電源、記憶體以及運算能力均受到極大的限制,尤以電源為重,加上電源的消耗會根據傳輸距離而改變,因此本論文提出以實際距離計算預估消耗能量為基礎的路由協定,從來源節點經由預估最小消耗能量的路徑到達資料收集點,並考慮節點本身剩餘電量,經由探測網路讓來源節點能夠適時的切換到更佳的傳輸路徑上。且利用多重路徑的觀念,使路徑表建立多條路徑,並將路徑表分為兩層,因此能讓路徑表內的節點數變多,在第一層使用完時,可以使用第二層,以減少路徑中斷的情形發生及節點在傳輸所消耗的電量,藉以延長感測網路的功能性時間及整體壽命。
Wireless sensor networks are consisted of compact micro-sensors with wireless communication capability. These small devices are relatively cheap to be disseminated in large quantities. Emerging applications of data gathering include the environmental monitor to the military. As autonomous devices they can provide pervasive distributed and collaborative network of computer nodes. Due to the hardware designed consideration, the energy, memory and computing ability of the sensor node are restricted, especially on energy. As we know the power consumption is highly related to the transmitted distance. In this paper, we propose a new protocol to calculate the energy consumption of the packets from the source node to the sink. Then consider the node’s residual energy, the packets can change to a better path to the sink by double layer routing table. When there is no node in the first layer routing table, we will use the second layer routing table to relay the packets. Through this mechanism, it can reduce the energy consumption and the number of broken path. From the simulation result, it shows that our approach could extend the network lifetime efficiently.
