Employability has been a hot topic in the last 20 years. A few researchers developed employability scales but discussion about different forms of multidimensional constructs of employability is rare. In this research different forms of multidimensional constructs were discussed. Fugate, Kinicki, and Ashforth (2004) suggested a psycho-social multidimensional employability construct that could be an aggregate construct rather that a latent one. Fugate et al (2004) did not mention the possibility of psycho-social employability to be a profile multidimensional construct. This research based on Fugate et al (2004) was conducted in order to investigate whether the construct is a latent construct or an aggregate construct. A valid sample of 776 participants was obtained. Regarding to goodness of fit indexes, the construct did not fully satisfy the latent and aggregate model testing. Corresponding to the discussion about multidimensional constructs, the possibility of employability to be a profile model was considered. The same set of data was analyzed using multiple regression and ANOVA. Multiple regression of employability dimensions towards career criteria showed different predictive power of employability dimensions. ANOVA of employability dimensions versus demographic variables demonstrated that employability dimensions showed group difference. It seemed that psycho-social employability construct possesses characteristics of profile multidimensional construct. Further analysis for profile construct was suggested. Finally, influences of different employability concepts in practice were also discussed.
