在一個數位化的時代裡,多媒體各方面技術的進步,以及隨之而來的資料量暴增,導致使用及吸收知識上的困難與不便。因此,如何讓使用者能夠在短時間內對影片內容有大略的體會,便是視訊摘要(Video Summarization)發展的背景,這其中又以如何將視訊影片依不同意義的情境而分段為首要工作。傳統上是由人為自主或依經驗法則來對影片訂出分段的憑據,但容易有主觀意識,於是有許多摘要的研究是以直方圖(Histogram)為主要探討對象。它固然可以抵抗雜訊和物件移動所造成的錯誤分鏡,然而其門檻值(Threshold)的決定仍過於武斷。於是我們提出使用自適應(Adaptive)方式來適切決定門檻。經由結果顯示,自適應門檻值較固定門檻值可以找出正確的分鏡。由於現在的新聞節目只要一家有了獨家新聞,其他家也會有,可以說是每台新聞內容皆是大同小異。因此,我們為了讓觀看新聞的方式可以更加有效率,便利用自適應門檻值偵測新聞分段的直接分鏡轉換,實驗的結果證明了此方法能夠有效的將影片中各種的新聞片段偵測出來。
The progress in digital multimedia technology and the subsequent data explosion has led to the difficulty and inconvenience in the digestion of knowledge. How to let the users be able to understand briefly the video content in little time is the development basis of video summarization, and the first intention is to partition the video according to different meanings of sections. The partition rule is traditionally manual, and it is usually experienced but very subjective. Oppositely, many researches of the video summarization are based on image histogram as the main investigation target. Due to noise and object movement, histogram can nevertheless resist error for shot change detection, but the threshold determination is yet too arbitrary. Therefore, we will propose an adaptive method to decide appropriately the threshold. In our experiment, multi-sections news programs are taken as example, and it can be showed that adaptive threshold can find correct shot change detection better than fixed(given) threshold.
