本研究目的是為了了解裸眼式立體顯示器之發展趨勢以及競爭情形,希望透過研究結果,為立體顯示器之相關公司提供研發方向。
由於裸眼式立體顯示器之三大主流技術為全像式顯示、體積式顯示、二維多工式顯示,因此,本研究以這三種技術為探討對象。其次,以美國專利資料庫,台灣專利資料庫,以及歐洲專利資料庫為專利檢索來源,並利用由連穎科技開發之「PatentGuider 2008」提昇專利資料庫整合功能進行專利檢索及專利分析,再以圖表方式呈現其相關專利資訊。
根據專利分析結果以及技術層次考量,本研究發現全像式顯示以及二維多工式顯示技術是較利於台灣未來研發之方向。此外,根據不同用途,全像式顯示技術適合於開發高品質之產品;二維多工式顯示技術則適合於開發大眾化之產品。
The purpose of this research is to understand the development trend and competitive status of auto-stereoscopic display via patents analysis. Moreover, the directions to the related 3D displays firms in Taiwan are provided.
Due to auto-stereoscopic 3D displays are mostly composed of holographic display, volumetric display, and 2D-multiplexed display. Therefore, this research focuses on these three technologies as objects to retrieved patents data from databases of United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO), and European Property Office (EPO) to implement the study. Furthermore, took advantages of 「PatentGuider 2008」 which is developed by LearningTech to promote the integral function of patent data and do the patents search, then uses the diagrammatic ways to present the correlative information of patents.
In terms of the patents analysis results and the consideration of techniques, this study discovers that holographic display and 2D-multiplexed are good directions to develop in future in Taiwan. Moreover, for different purposes, holographic method is a good choice to develop in high quality products, small or medium size display. On the other hand, 2D-multiplexed method is good for developing in general quality products.
