近年來因為網際網路普及，網路相簿與部落格的興起讓新世代的背包客們有發表自己到各國遊歷經歷的管道，使得旅遊經歷的傳承從最原始的口耳相傳進步到網路社群交流的新型態，因此目前國內網路社群的旅遊發表區，常常是背包客們行前準備工作最主要的資訊來源；從事自助旅行的難度，漸漸地因為網路上各類旅遊知識與經驗傳承而降低很多。
國內外相關旅遊網站皆有一個共同的缺點就是資訊無法有效整合，因此，專為自助旅行者獨特偏好所設計的系統，包含整合大方向旅遊行程建議、以模糊理論衡量喜好、讓網友加入推薦共同編輯、讓管理者與使用者進行整合，所得到的結果可以大大減少自助旅行前期的準備工作，避免因為行前準備不足，發生旅遊迷失而在旅遊地進行沒有方向的自助旅行。
本研究以最方便的捷運、地鐵等大都會捷運系統為旅遊行程的交通工具，進行都會型的旅遊型態規劃，利用安全、便宜、可靠度高的捷運系統進行順暢的大都會式自助旅行。其結果可以減少背包客的旅遊前期規劃時間並降低旅遊風險；使認為自助旅行風險太大與難度太高而產生疑慮裹足不前不敢從事自助旅行的人，也會因為此系統的實現，享受到自助旅行的樂趣。

Suring Internet for searching backpacking information is the most popular way in the recent decade, especially for new generation of backpackers. Since people share their pictures and travel experiences at their web albums and blogs, the traveling knowledge and experiences sharing figure have been changed from oral knowledge transfer to cyber neighborhood communication.
Searching backpacking information at Taiwan’s cyber neighborhood forum became the first thing to do at Taiwanese backpackers’ preparation list. The risk of backpacking in foreign country has been reduced because of this change.
The most common weak points of the traveling information system website are that information is not effectively integrated and not real time. Therefore, a effective website design for Metro backpackers which integrate traveling territory trend ,fuzzy rule favorite decision, web collaboration and let users update recent information can reduce backpacking preparation time and prevent backpackers lost in backpacking area .
Metro, Subway, MRT…. and so on are the most common transportation ways for backpackers who travelling in metropolis area. It is a good idea for backpackers to use these transportations because they are safe, cheap, reliable and convenient.
Once the website knowledge data and register users post enough information on the website, the plenty traveling knowledge and newest updated information will help backpackers who straggling for backpacking preparation hard time.
