Fashion models are the products developed by the performances of fashion shows. With equipments and locations, the brands are made publication of their ideas through the performances of fashion shows, in which to create a space form unique and being born from it. Moreover, in recent years, the trends of models are swept through the whole world. A lot of younger generations of men and women in Taiwan have also joined the model industry, and the general publics are starting to be curious about the business as well. As a result, our study aimed to make investigations of issues related to fashion models and the space of fashion show performances, like the positioning of model in Taiwan areas, as well as the criteria of professional acknowledgement on the job. Moreover, problems in the display and arrangements of how to make entry and exit in the space during the performances of fashion shows are discussed through the observations of fashion models. The research is done with adoptions of methods such as illustrations of fashion show performances and models, analysis of case study, and depth interviews. As for illustrations of fashion show performances and models, firstly the origins of fashion show performances and fashion models are explained. Then, the space of fashion shows performances are introduced. Finally, investigation of effects from model fads on the occupation is done by the current situation of model industry in Taiwan. As for the analysis of case study, the similarities and differences of each fashion show performance cases is analyzed and compared. Finally, the subjects of depth interviews include models, personnel in the back of scenes, fashion shows related celebrities and hardware personnel, whom are asked about their viewpoints on the related agenda such as fashion show performances and models. Through chatting during the interview and records of the whole interviewing process, objectiveness and deeper views are concluded in the research. In the study, it is believed that the model developments in Taiwan, currently, do not make specific positioning on the role playing of the occupation. Models should not make their career jump into entertainment businesses until their professional techniques are nurtured and they have abundant work experiences. As to the clothes changing of models in the back stage, there are no needs to plan space for clothes changing on purpose, but only with slight segmentation. Moreover, for the models themselves, they have to own right working attitudes as well as mind sets, without causing troubles to others. As to fashion show performances, they will be changing along with the needs of performances and environments of the performing locations. The expectations of audiences on the fashion show performances will be satisfied when the space of performances is divided clearly, the viewing scale to the audiences are appropriate, and smooth arrangements when entering and exiting are arranged. It is anticipated that this research will be the basis of other related issues in the future, developing other investigations related to models or performing spaces.
