組織在面對高度外部環境不確定性下,為了降低不確定性以提高決策的時效性,除了善用企業自身的資源外,同時也積極的引進ERP系統,利用整合企業各系統的方法,進而整合企業內外的資訊,提昇企業經營績效,但是許多引進ERP系統 的公司,並未能收到導入後的效益。因此,企業除了導入ERP之外,更需要了解在哪些情況下可以產生更好的效益,這將是企業在導入ERP系統後所必須面臨的重要課題之一。所以,本研究從組織資訊處理理論(OIPT)的角度,針對已經實現ERP的公司進行探討組織外部環境不確定性和ERP系統實現的時間,如何透過ERP中介效益進而影響組織實現ERP後所帶來的效益。
本研究採用問卷調查法,以2006年天下雜誌前一千大製造業為主要研究對象,經過兩個星期填答,共計回收187份,扣除填答不完整、送件地點錯誤退回及組織尚未採用ERP系統的問卷,有效問卷156份,有效回收率為15.6%。本研究獲致幾點結論:(一)、當產業所處外部環境的動態性較高時、ERP實現的時間較長時,組織內各部門的任務效率會提升,進而提升組織實現ERP系統後帶來的整體效益。(二)、當產業所處外部環境的異質性較低時,組織內各部門的工作效率會提升,進而提升組織實現ERP系統後帶來的整體效益。(三)、企業所處外部環境敵對性的高低不同,並不會影響組織實現ERP系統後所帶來的整體效益。(四)、ERP系統提供的資料品質越高,ERP系統實現後所帶來的中介效益和整體效益越高。(五)、異質性高低會干擾ERP系統實現後帶來的效益。
本研究的學術貢獻是從「資訊處理理論」和「外部環境不確定性」的角度,來探討企業實現ERP後的效益是否會有不同,結果顯示「外部環境不確定性」的動態性和異質性確實會影響組織實現ERP後的效益。而從實務角度來看,本研究可提供要導入ERP系統企業的管理者了解,需針對不同的環境不確定性採取不同的導入策略,才能讓實現ERP系統的組織,利用ERP系統提高部門間的協調性和任務效率以降低不確定性的負面影響、ERP實現後才能得到較高的效益。
ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) is a mature and useful information technology because it can provide accurate and timely information to managers to make right decision when they are facing highly environmental uncertainty。However, very few studies focus on the influence of intermediate effect on the overall ERP benefit。On the other side, how close between the level of environmental uncertainty and degree in the ERP benefit, this aspect also inquires into less。And this research from the point of view the level of environmental uncertainty to understand the firms that have implemented ERP the relationship of intermediate effect and overall ERP benefit。
The objective of this research is to find out: 1. If different level of organization environmental uncertainty and time elapsed since ERP implementation result in different influences to the ERP organizational benefits. 2. How to get higer overall ERP benefit when organization faces different level of environmental uncertainty. 3. Appopreiated implements strategy to the organization that desires to implement ERP system.
This research was carried out by surveys over 1000 large manufacturers, yielding 156 effective surveys in the end. The analysis shows that:
(1)、The higher dynamism and time elapsed since ERP implementation are found to result in better overall ERP benefits via intermediated ERP benefit.
(2)、Greater data quality is associated with greater ERP overall benefits.
(3)、Heterogeneity has the moderating effect on ERP overall benefits.
