隨著經濟的持續成長，新興市場的中國大陸逐漸成為一重要的海外直接投資 ( FDI）行為之投資地。本研究透過數據資料收集分析，對中國大陸海外直接投資行為加以探討。研究發現，廠商資源愈豐富會幫助對投資中國大陸之行為。本研究試圖從過去研究較少以資源基礎觀點（RBV）角度探討電子業廠商赴中國大陸海外直接投資之行為。
在廠商資源變數方面，本研究採用資源基礎觀點所提出之能力來衡量廠商資源，依序如研發能力、經營能力、行銷能力、國際化能力；研發能力由研究發展費用密集度來衡量，經營能力由權益報酬率來衡量，行銷能力是以行銷費用占營業收入淨額比例來衡量，國際化能力以外銷比率來衡量。
本研究樣本為 2003 ~ 007 年，共五年樣本期間，資料來源為台灣經濟新報資料庫（TEJ）以及公開資訊觀測站（MOPS）上市上櫃電子產業，完全扣除遺漏值，總共有公司 685 筆，經實證發現（l）經營能力愈強則海外直接投資之行為會愈積極（2）國際化能力愈強則海外直接投資之行為愈積極。

With sustained economic growth, emerging markets, China has gradually become an important foreign direct investment (FDI) investment location. In this study, data collected through the analysis of foreign direct investment in China acts to be explored. The study found that the more resources companies will help China to invest in the act. This study attempts to research from the past few resource-based view (RBV) of the electronics industry to foreign direct investment in China’s behavior.
Resource variables in the firms, the use of the resource-base view of this study point of view put forward by the ability to measure the vendor resources, then, such as R & D capability, management ability, marketing ability, the ability of internationalization; R & D capabilities from research and development costs to measure the intensity, the operating capacity by return on equity as measured by the ability of marketing marketing costs account for the ratio of net operating income to measure, the international capacity to export ratio to measure.
Samples for this study from 2003 to 2007, a total of five years, the data source form the Taiwan Economic Journal Data Bank (TEJ), and Market Observation Post System (MOPS) listed electronics industry, excluding missing values, a total of 685 T Inc., by the evidence found (1) the operating capacity of the stronger is the conduct of foreign direct investment will be more active (2) the ability of the stronger international foreign direct investment are more positive behavior.
