本研究旨在以深入訪談初產婦夫妻對生產過程的生命經驗，了解夫妻在生產前對陪產之期望、夫妻雙方共同經歷生產過程的真實經驗及感受。以口述歷史的研究方法進行深入的訪談，蒐集受訪者的資料共五對夫妻，每位受訪者訪談以2-3次，時間為2-3小時為原則，以訪談大網作為訪談內容的範疇，引導受訪者道出經歷自然生產的生命歷程，以忠實彙整出受訪者結婚到生產過程各時段的經驗及感受。研究結果發現：1. 婦女在懷孕過程中夫妻最擔心的是胎兒健康與否2. 藉由產前教育課程及電視播放生產影片，幫助夫妻知道生產過程3. 對產兆產生不確定感4. 妻子對先生的握手感到有安全感5. 灌腸行為應可視產婦當時的情況再給予6. 先生在生產過程中需要可諮詢的人7. 護理人員在生產過程扮演夫妻的支持者8. 產婦夫妻對醫師是尊重及信任9. 對產房及分娩室的環境感到冷冰。
本研究結果提供應用的建議：1.臨床實務方面：（1）加強產科人員的在職教育，護理人員應先了解產婦先生在生產過程的重要性及需求（2）制作生產支持的影片，針對產婦先生以強化先生的觀念（3）門診成立產前的諮詢專線（4）安排產房護理人員與產婦及先生認識，強化彼此的關係；2.護理教育方面：教育學生及臨床護理人員，認識產婦及先生生產的生命經驗；3.政策方面：（1）落實醫院評鑑第三章有關病人權利及安全（2）規範待產室的環境是一間一間隔開，以達病患隱私（3）推動各大醫院制作生產及先生支持相關的影片（4）成立生產的聯誼會，推動先生參與整個生產過程。

The purpose of this study was to recognize the married couple’s expectation of father’s labor support before labor and to understand couple’s true experience as well as feelings when they went through the labor at the same time by deeply interviewing the first labor and birth couple about their life experience for labor.
The search was designed to deeply interview couples by oral history method and then analysis 5 couple’s collected data. Each person was interviewed by the outline of my research questionnaire to guide respondents expresse their life experience of nature spontaneous deliver and faithfully present their experience and feelings to each other from getting married to first deliver and birth. In principle, the time of interview was 2-3 hours per time and 2-3 times for all. The results show: 1.the regular uterine construction and vaginal bloody show were not exactly the standard of admission for labor and birth.2.The key person who would impact the deliver time was obstetric doctor.3.Enema was not necessary for labor.4.The maternal feel safety when her husband hold her hand tight during labor and birth.5.It was necessary to have a consulter during the process of labor and birth when the material’s husband partner beside her.6.The environment of labor room and deliver room was lack of humanity. The results of this study to provide recommendations that are applicable as below: 1. Aspects of clinical practice: (1) Strengthen the obstetric staff in-service education: nurses should understand the importance to have partner beside maternal and the need of the partner in the process of labor and birth (2) To strengthen the partner's concept of labor support by making labor support film. (3) To establish the antenatal special telephone line at out-patient department (4) Arrange the nurses of delivery room and the pregnancy couple to meet each other before labor and birth in order to strengthen their relationship; 2. Aspects of nursing education: to educate students and clinical nurse to recognize maternal and her partner’s life experience of labor. 3. Aspects of Policies: (1) The implementation of hospital accreditation in Chapter III relating to the rights and safety of patient (2) To standardize the environment of labor room as separated each single room for keeping the patient’s privacy (3) Promote the major hospitals of Taiwan to make films relating to father’s labor support (4) To set up labor associations in order to promote husband to play a part in entire labor and birth.
