本研究目的在探討規律健身運動對大學男生身體自我概念及身體意象的影響以及進一步探討對各因素構面的影響。研究對象為國立屏東教育大學(NPUE)九十六學年度55名男學生,平均年齡為20.45歲,隨機分派為實驗組(健身運動組)與控制組,實驗組接受為期八週,每週三次,每次50分鐘的規律健身運動,控制組則不接受任何處理。研究採用身體自我描述問卷(PSDQ)及多向度自我身體關係問卷(MBSRQ)作為測量身體自我概念和身體意象的研究工具,所得資料以混合設計二因子變異數分析(Two-Way ANOVA)與獨立樣本單因子共變數分析(One-Way ANCOVA)加以處理。研究發現:(一)八週健身運動可以提升大學男生的身體自我概念,在健康、身體動狀況、自我認同、心肺耐力、肌力等身體自我概念構面有顯著影響;(二)八週健身運動可以提升大學男生的身體意象,在外表評價、外表取向、體能評價、體能取向、身體各部位滿意度等身體意象構面有顯著影響。
The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of regularly exercising on male college students’ body self-concept and body image and the effects on different factors need to be investigated further. The participants in this study were 55 male college students of National Ping Tung University of Education in 96 academic year. In experimental design, the participants were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received regular exercise fifty minutes per time, three times per week and lasting for eight weeks and the control group did not receive any intervention. The research instruments included the Physical Self Description Questionnaire (PSDQ) and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) to measure body self-concept and body image. The analysis of data was carried out by Two-Way ANOVA and One-Way ANOVA. The results of this research show that first, exercising for eight weeks can promote the body self-concept of male college students. Second, exercising for eight weeks can promote factors of male college students’ body self-concept including health, physical activity, self-identity, endurance, and strength. Third, exercising for eight weeks can promote body image of male college students. Fourth, exercising for eight weeks can promote factors of male college students’ body image including appearance evaluation, appearance orientation, fitness evaluation, fitness orientation and body areas satisfaction.
