本論文提出利用光學外差式干涉儀的方法,透過瓊斯矩陣法的理論推導與數值擬合程式計算,提出結合兩種TN-LC之數學模型,可一次算得單元間隙 (cell gap,d)、預傾角 (pretilt angle,θ)、扭轉角 (twist angle,Φ)、配向角(rubbing angle,α)以及非扭轉相位延遲 (untwisted phase retardation,Γ)等,共五個液晶的光學特性參數。同時,我們在實驗訊號解調方面,提出了利用差動式對數解調電路的方式,取代一般使用數位電錶(DVM)的後端處理,並驗證了此方法具有快速擷取訊號的潛力,以及降低雜訊提高訊噪比的優點。
