無線射頻辨識技術本身具備高儲存容量、可同時讀取多筆資訊及無需透過實體接觸即可達成辨識及收集資訊等特性,故近幾年受到各界的矚目而蓬勃發展,因而被運用於各個不同領域,許多企業透過此技術的應用,在作業上減少了繁雜的流程管理和時間,進而能快速並有效率的進行各項工作。也因為此項技術的發展顛覆了許多領域原有的作業模式,國際著名研究機構Gartner Group更將無線射頻辨識技術譽為2005年10大策略技術之殺手級科技應用。
本研究鎖定的領域為半導體的後段製程,在晶圓製造後之產業統稱為「半導體後段」,即為後段封裝測試,此階段一般而言包含晶圓測試、IC封裝及晶片成品測試,由於其生產產品精細、產品種類及數量眾多的特性,其製造環境與流程較一般產業而言更為特殊及複雜,特別是在製品的流程管理,如能針對廠內數百種產品進行更有效率的管理及控制,必能在時間效率上得到更為顯著的優勢,進而提高產業的競爭力。有鑑於此,半導體封裝測試在製品流程管理的改善遂成為本研究的重點。
因此,本研究的主要目標是將無線射頻技術應用於半導體封裝測試產業中,與原以條碼系統為基礎的作業流程,在時間維度下進行效率的比較,進而提出其導入可行之運作架構。
With a high storage capacity, and data gathering characteristics without physical contact, the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has undergone vigorous development to be widely adopted in various domains for the attention it draws in recent years. Many businesses have adopted the technology to cut down the fastidious management flow and time, and thus be able to conduct various work more efficiency. Also as the development of the technology has also revolutionized many of the existing operating mode many globally renowned research institutions, such as the Gartner Group, have referred to the RFID technology as the killer technological application among the top ten strategic technologies in 2005.
This thesis focuses on the domain of semiconductor rear process, where the stage generally consists of wafer testing, IC assembling, and IC testing. As characterized by the refined products and in a great number fabricated, its manufacturing environment is deemed unique and complex when compared with that of the general industries, particularly during the work-in-process flow management. A significant advantage can be derived in time efficiency if an effective management and monitoring can be introduced to managing hundred of products at a plant to excel a plant’s competitiveness in the industry.
Therefore, this thesis’s primary objective lies in applying RFID in the work -in-process flow management in the semiconductor assembling and testing industry by comparing its efficiency rated to the time propensity in the bar code-based operating process, through which to propose a feasible implementing framework that can be introduced.
