本研究的主要目的是:1、探討不同來台旅遊目的之國際旅客在認知意象上的差異情形;2、探討不同來台旅遊目的之國際旅客在旅遊動機上的差異情形;3、探討國際旅客的認知意象與旅遊動機之間的關係;4、分析國際旅客的認知意象與旅遊動機對地方依附的影響。本研究以來台灣旅遊之非亞洲地區國際旅客為主(N=481),所得資料以單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關及多元逐步迴歸進行分析。本研究所得結果如下:
一、旅遊目的為「樂趣」的國際旅客比旅遊目的為「商務」的國際旅客有較高的「自然與文化資源」。
二、旅遊目的為「念書」的國際旅客比旅遊目的為「其他」、「觀光」、「度假」、「商務」的國際旅客有較高的「知識」,其次旅遊目的為「念書」的國際旅客比旅遊目的為「度假」、「商務」的國際旅客有較高的「娛樂」,而旅遊目的為「念書」的國際旅客比旅遊目的為「其他」、「商務」、「拜訪朋友或親人」、「度假」的國際旅客有較高的「社交」。
三、認知意象的「自然與文化資源」、「一般、觀光與休閒設施」、「整體氣氛」、「社會環境」與旅遊動機的「知識」、「放鬆」、「娛樂」、「社交」有正相關存在。
四、「自然與文化資源」、「社交」、「整體氣氛」、「放鬆」、「社會環境」可正向預測國際旅客的「地方依賴」,而「社交」、「自然與文化資源」、「放鬆」可正向預測國際旅客的「地方認同」。
本研究針對研究結果與發現加以討論,並對研究結果應用與未來研究提出建議。
The purposes of this study were: 1. to investigate the different aspects of cognitive image among international tourists with the various purposes of travel; 2. to investigate the different travel motivations among international tourists with the various purposes of travel; 3. to investigate the correlation between cognitive image and travel motivation of international tourists; 4. to understand the effect of cognitive image and travel motivation on place attachment for international tourists. The subjects of this study are non-Asian international tourists that travel in Taiwan (N=481). The collected data are analyzed using the, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and stepwise regression method. The findings of the study are as follows:
1. The “natural and cultural resources” in the purpose of travel “pleasure” was higher than in the purpose of travel “business.”
2. The “knowledge” in the purpose of travel “study” was higher than in the purpose of travel “other”, “tourism”, “holiday”, and “business”; the “entertainment” in the purpose of travel “study” was higher than in the purpose of travel “holiday”, and “business”; the “socialization” in the purpose of travel “study” was higher than in the purpose of travel “other”, “business”, “visiting friends/ relatives”, and “holiday”.
3. The cognitive image: “natural and cultural resources”, “genera, tourist and leisure infrastructures”, “atmosphere”, and “social environment” have significant positive correlation to the travel motivations of: “knowledge”, “relaxation”, “entertainment”, and “socialization”.
4. “Natural and cultural resources”, ”socialization”, ”overall atmosphere”, ”relaxation”, and, ”social environment” can predict international tourists’ “place dependence” positively. “Socialization”, “natural and cultural resources”, and, “relaxation” can predict international tourists’ “place identity” positively.
In this study, the findings are interpreted, and suggestions for the applications of the research and for further studies are provided.
