在現今資訊快速傳遞之時代,對於顯示資訊量空間之需求越來越大,因此,市面上螢幕規格不斷的往大尺寸方向發展。本研究以大尺寸螢幕為個人工作站做為研究對象,將了解使用者在大型螢幕上如何運用顯示空間進行各項作業,從主作業區內之研究發現,使用者習慣以19 cm~24 cm之視窗寬度嬝炊撜飽A且內容包含圖片時傾向以較寬之視窗瀏覽網頁。在周邊顯示區域內進行點選動作之研究可得知,在帄面螢幕上對目標物做點選之動作時間,受到目標寬度及距離影響之結果符合Fitts’ Law理論,但在曲面螢幕時受到曲度及目標位置之角度影響,當相同目標寬度分別於曲面及帄面螢幕時,使用者於曲面螢幕之調整時間較長,若同樣之目標寬度於不同之位置角度時,當較大之角度於帄面螢幕之動作時間較長。另外,受到人眼視角影響,人眼看到目標物之寬度與實際於螢幕上呈現之寬度有些微的落差,以Fitts提出之動作時間預測模式得知,針對以手腕姿勢於人
眼視角對目標物作點選之預測能力最高(R2 = 0.9519)。
As production technology for flat display becomes increasingly mature, large displays are more affordable and popular. This is evident by the increasing market share of large-sized displays. The scope of this study is to investigate the usage of large displays for personal workstation. The primary purpose is two-fold: to understand the appropriate space requirements for editing and browsing related primary tasks; and to investigate the efficiency of pointing tasks at the peripheral region of a large display. The experimental results show that under a large display environment, instead to enlarge the window size to full screen, users prefer a window width of 19 cm-24 cm. When users browse web pages with more pictures, a wider window is preferred. The second part of this study compares clicking tasks on a flat and a curved display at peripheral region of different locations. The results suggest that Fitts’ Law holds for clicking tasks on a flat display in terms of target size and distance. For curved display, however, affected by the curvature level and the target location, a clicking task requires longer adjustment time when compared with the same task on a flat display. On the other hand, given the same target width, a clicking task located at further end of a display requires longer movement time on a flat display compared with curved display. In addition, when target located at further end of a large display, the perceived target width is less than real target width in accordance to the view angle, the experiment results suggest that perceived target width is a better predictor in Fitts’ Law with a R2 equals to 0.9519 for wrist.
