電腦在十九世紀被創造出之後,經過了百年的時間。如今,電腦已高度的發展且被大量應用在日常生活中。到了二十一世紀的現代社會,電腦更是應用在各式層面上。而隨著電腦的發展,也隨之發現了相關的疾病。其中最常被耳聞的,就是被稱為腕穴道症候群(CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME)的疾病。根據英國國家健康中心(NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE)的調查,全英國大約有百分之五的女性患者,男性患者的部份則是百分之三。患者的比例有每年提升的趨勢。腕穴道症候群常見於長時間使用鍵盤及滑鼠的工作者。其原因來自於以不正確的姿勢使用滑鼠,壓迫腕部穴道,造成患者手部疼痛不適,手掌無力,甚或是手部無知覺等症狀。
本研究主要目的是針對腕穴道症候群患者進行輔具設計。研究方法以深度訪談法,針對復建師及腕穴道症候群患者,探討造成腕穴道症候群的因素與預防方法。
本研究結論提出一款滑鼠輔具,在手背以彈性材料矯正滑鼠使用時手部姿勢,腕部支撐由手腕下側轉移到腕骨下方,可以避免腕穴道症候群惡化。
The computer is extremely general used in modern society. There are many diseases being discovered. One of these diseases, which is called carpal tunnel syndrome is the most often to be heard in the computer users. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a disease suffered in workers who use keyboard or mouse in the wrong posture for a lengthy time. Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most commonly known repetitive stress injuries in workers. According to the report of the National Health Service, almost five percentages of women, three percentages of men have the carpal tunnel syndrome. Moreover, the percentages are still increasing because of the population of computer user.
The purpose of this project is to design an assistive device for the patients who suffered carpal tunnel syndrome to relieve the pain while they are using the computer. In this project, the researcher used interview survey in this research.
In this project, the researcher used interview survey in this research. To interview with an occupational therapist who works for the National Health Service. After clarifying the carpal tunnel syndrome and finding out the better solution for carpal tunnel syndrome.
This research finally provided an assistive device in 2D and 3D model. The result of the assistive device has some special feature. The glove use tight fabric to help keeping the wrist straight in a natural posture on the mouse, and use soft material in the support area to avoid stressing the wrist while working. The wrist support area has been moved to the underside to the arm, this could help to avoid pressing the wrist while working.
