When the city electricity power failure occurs, UPS uninterruptible power systems often play a role in emergency rescue and provide economic and efficient electrical equipment protection. Although water-free rechargeable batteries and other batteries charge and discharge the same as life has a certain number of different manufacturers are not the same battery life, battery replacement cost is very high. The UPS battery price still represents a significant proportion of the overall price. Use in UPS, battery charge and discharge process, resulting in premature aging battery plates, battery capacity decline, it can be said to be sufficient battery bad. The most commonly charger, there are but constant voltage, constant current, 2 phase pulse charging method and charging method, but the charging time-consuming of these charging methods are up to 8 to 12 hours, life is only about 250 cycle, if used voltage charge to expedite the charging time, will make the battery temperature, and will shorten the battery life, thus reducing the charge time and increase the battery life is the main focus of this paper is to explore. This article is based on lead-acid battery for a sample text for the physical reaction and characteristics of lead-acid batteries, charging through the Microchip PIC12F675 microprocessor implementation of the strategy, coupled with residual capacity detection method, and the use of temperature, voltage and current sensing circuit, in charge the initial use of frequency hopping pulse technology to reduce battery polarization, acceleration time of the preceding charge, and the purpose of prolonging battery life.
