「數位家庭」在政府相關部門積極推動下，基礎環境已漸趨成熟，不少廠商在所建構之基礎環境上正努力開發各式各樣的應用。本論文以嵌入式平台為核心來連結數位家庭的環境，擬建立一個多功能性的數位控制中心，將數位家庭需滿足的三大需求(自動化、醫療照護和娛樂功能)均予以融入，室內資訊的傳輸係透過Zigbee所組成之網路來管控每個角落，至於室外資訊的傳輸則透過無線網路來達成。
數位控制中心係使用Marvel PXA-310為開發平台，並以WinCE為其作業系統，在自動化部分，利用所建構之Zigbee網路來感測居家環境的變化，以及控制各類開關來排除不舒適的居家環境；醫療照護部分，利用平台來收集心電圖、呼吸、血氧和血壓等感測器所量測到的資訊，並利用無線及有線的方式將其傳送到需要的地方供醫護人員觀看量測結果，經實際驗證所設計之軟體上已能將量測訊號順利的傳送與存檔，完全克服資料傳送不完全的問題；家庭娛樂部分，利用平台完成播放器的開發，此平台除可接收數位電視的節目外亦可播放由網路下傳的影片與音樂。在數位控制中心設計的過程中，業已充分掌握Marvel PXA-310平台之性能，若需增加其他功能相信應能立即實現。

The ubiquitous digital environment has been developed and improved to a stable and complete foundation. Government related departments have been actively promoting the advancement of the digital home. More and more industries have begun to develop and concentrate exclusively on the related applications. This essay hopes to develop an embedded platform to connect the family into their digital home environment. The purpose is to establish a multi-functional digital control center, which satisfies and integrates three requirements of the digital home: Family Automation, Medical Care and Family Entertainment. The composition of indoor wireless transmission is easily connected with Zigbee Network to everywhere; on the other hand, the outdoor wireless transmission will be achieved by wireless network.
The multi-functional digital control center uses Marvel PXA-310 as a digital developing platform and the WinCE as the operating system (OS). First, Family Automation: this is achieved using Zigbee Network sensors to detect changes in the home environment and also controls all lights and thermostats which are able to make the home environment comfortable. Second, Medical Care: the platform assists with sending test results and data of electrocardiography (ECG), breath, blood oxygen and blood pressure to different floors and rooms for searching measurements by wireless and wired transmission. In order to avoid missing data while a measurement is being acquired, the software can transfer the measuring message and in the meantime, to save the data and information in the platform, which completely avoids and overcomes the trouble of missing data. Third, Family Entertainment: the platform enables further development of the home’s media center. This not only provides digital TV programmes, but also the streaming of films and download of music from the internet. To sum up, in the process of the Multi-functional digital control center, this research achieved the Marvel PXA-310 platform development; therefore, if the user has other request or application, it will be realised immediately.
