淡水河系為台灣北部最大河流,其流域承載逾六佰萬人口,台灣四分之一人口居住在其流域,淡水河包含三大支流-基隆河、新店溪及大漢溪,其中基隆河為三條支流中流量最小,而污染最為嚴重者,環保署自80年代以來持續在整治淡水河,今台北縣政府與環保署宣稱淡水河整治成績不錯,水質狀況已大為改善。本研究利用二航次調查基隆河至淡水河河口海域的水質狀況,並使用WQI(water quality index)水質指數,綜合評估研究區域內的水質狀況。
本研究兩航次調查水質參數濃度範圍如下:酸鹼值 7.35-8.31;溶氧 1.35-9.45 mg/L;磷酸鹽0.13-5.45 μM;矽酸鹽 3.13-138.06 μM;氨氮 1.74-242.5 μM;亞硝酸鹽 0.56-10.87 μM;硝酸鹽5.06-48.73 μM;與葉綠素甲 0.15-5.94 μg/L。基隆河下游從大直橋至關渡宮較不受潮汐影響之河段,其WQI指數範圍介於25-61(平均49.63),屬於戊至丁類水質,而淡水河自關渡宮至出海口,其WQI指數範圍介於46-87(平均72),屬於丙至乙類水質,此段水質受海水漲退潮影響明顯,漲潮時水質可達乙至甲類,而退潮時只達丙至乙類。本研究結果顯示基隆河水質仍然不及格。


Abstract
The Danshuei River, containing three major tributaries the Keelung River, the Hsintien and the Da-Han River, is the largest river system in northern Taiwan. More than six millions of population, exceeding one quarter of Taiwanses, live in the catchment area. Due to the treated and untreated domestic and industrial waste water discharging into the tributaries, it is known that all the three tributaries are seriously polluted. The cleaning work of the polluted rivers has been progressed since 1990 by EPA.. Now, the Taipei county and EPA declare that the water quality of the three tributaries has been improved because of the cleaning work. The purpose of this work is to analyze the nutrients concentrations of the Keelung tributary by means of two surveys and to assess the water quality.
This concentration ranges of the studied water parameters are as follows: pH, 7.35-8.31; dissolved oxygen, 1.35-9.45 mg/L; phosphate, 0.13-5.45 μM; silicate, 3.13-138.06 μM; ammonia, 1.74-242.5 μM ; nitrite, 0.56-10.87 μM; nitrate, 5.06-48.73 μM; and chlorophyll a, 0.15-5.94 μg/L. The lower part of the Keelung River, from the Da bridge to , the water quality index ranges within 25-61 (average 49.63) belonging to E-D Level of the EPA Water Standard. The lower estuary of the Danshuei River, from the Da bridge to river mouth, the water quality index ranges within 46-87 (average 72) belonging to B-A Level of the EPA Water Standard. The water quality of the lower estuary of the Danshuei river is strongly depended on the tide. The water quality of the lower estuary during the flood period is better than the ebb period. The result of this study indicates that the water quality is still poor.
