整合分析中的合併檢定法常被應用於各種領域,其作法是將不同的資訊整合後進行檢定。在眾多合併法中Fisher法是最常被廣泛使用的方法。目前已有學者提出截切的概念改進Fisher法(截切相乘法),在一些情境下此方法的檢定力會比Fisher 法更高。本研究延用此作法進一步將截切概念引進反轉常態法及反轉卡方法,創造出截切反轉常態法及截切反轉卡方法。本研究模擬發現在一些情境下此二種截切法之檢定力表現會比反轉常態法與反轉卡方法更好;而當合併檢定個數較少的情形下截切反轉常態法檢定力之表現會略優於截切相乘法,另外截切反轉卡方法無論檢定合併個數的多寡又可藉由自由度的調控使其優於截切反轉常態法及截切相乘法。
In meta-analysis a commonly used method which combines various significance tests on the basis of the observed p-values is the combined test procedure. The earliest proposed and most widely studied combination procedure is the Fisher’s combination procedure. Recently, a truncated procedure modifying Fisher’s method (truncated product method;TPM) was alternatively proposed. It was shown that the overall power of this truncated method will increase when a small subset of the test hypotheses is false. In this study, the truncated inverse normal method (TIN) and truncated inverse chi-square method (TIC) are investigated following the idea of TPM. Our simulation studies indicate that in some situations TIN and TIC have higher power performances than inverse normal method and inverse chi-square method. When the number of merged tests is limited, TIN outperforms the TPM. On the other hand, no matter what the test numbers by adjusting degrees of freedom of TIC the power of TIC can always get better power than TIN and TPM.
