二十一世紀是知識經濟的時代,許多組織紛紛把知識管理似為重要的基石,眾多學者也在此提出了許多關於此方面的知識管理模式理論,但實際上都缺乏可行性,藉此林蘋(2006)提出一個較具有可行性且能提升組織競爭力的知識管理架構,此架構包含知識管理活動與支援環境兩大部份,認為組織中有良好的支援環境將有助於知識管理活動,以提升產品及服務品質來維持組織競爭力。
本研究主要將林蘋學者提出的架構作為改善並且以國內某科技大學作為實證對象,探討架構是否具有完整性以及有效性。探討架構完整性所關注的是知識管理的理想特徵,則有效性所關注的是知識管理架構是否可維持組織的競爭力,這些問題都將透過文獻探討、實地視察、文件審視、實地訪談方式來驗證。
本研究最後將個案所蒐集到的資料做整理與歸納,並再與本研究中提出的四項論點進行分析,最後研究結果證實所有論點皆為成立,故此知識管理架構能夠運行在組織上且可維持組織競爭力的知識管理模式。
The 21 century is in an era of knowledge economy. Numerous organizations recognize knowledge management as an important cornerstone. Quite a few scholars offered theoretical models of knowledge management but few proved to be practical. Ju (2006) proposed a pragmatic knowledge management framework which sustains organizational competitiveness. This framework covers two major aspects of knowledge management: the knowledge management activities and their supportive environment. In terms of this framework, Ju postulates that an adequate supportive environment will facilitate knowledge management activities, effective knowledge management activities will enhance the quality of services and products, and good services and products will sustain organizational competitiveness.

This study takes one university of science and technology as a case to investigate the completeness and effectiveness of Ju’s knowledge management framework. Completeness concerns the capturing of all important characteristics of knowledge management and effectiveness the contributions of knowledge management to organizational competitiveness. The case study was conducted through literature survey, field observation, documentation scan, and personal interview.

The case evidences were analyzed and categorized to validate the four propositions stipulated by Ju. Results indicate that all propositions are sustained, and therefore it can be concluded that the knowledge management framework is indeed a valid knowledge management model for organizational competitiveness.
