為探討單葉沙蠶(Namalycastis abiuma)在淡水環境下之族群生態,本實驗自2009年10月至2011年3月於台中地區採獲單葉沙蠶152隻,與其共棲地之主要水生無脊椎動物為蛭綱(Hirudinea)、昆蟲綱(Insecta)、貧毛綱(Oligochaeta)、腹足綱(Gastropoda)共13791隻個體。族群動態研究以南門橋之採樣為主;單葉沙蠶之族群數量並無月份變化趨勢。其中含卵個體之體長介於5至13.5 cm,卵徑大小與體長有顯著正相關,體長10 cm以上個體始有生殖成熟現象發生;而卵徑大小在不同季節有顯著差異,秋季卵徑最大,推估秋季為生殖成熟期。食性觀察結果顯示單葉沙蠶排遺中以腐植質、碎屑物和藻類為主。有採獲單葉沙蠶之棲地底石種類以小卵石與大卵石為主,且底質粒徑大小以中等沙與細沙為主,而人工河道之純水泥無底質環境中則無採獲。分析單葉沙蠶之棲地與環境因子結果顯示,單葉沙蠶之數量與月份、地點、溶氧量有關;其數量亦與搖蚊科、椎實螺科等底棲生物數量呈顯著正相關;水中之生化需氧量及導電度與單葉沙蠶數量呈顯著負相關;單葉沙蠶的數量和汙染程度有關;有採獲單葉沙蠶的採點有機質含量範圍介於1 %至30 %之間,有機質含量小於1 %及大於30 %則無採獲。本研究結果顯示,在旱溪流域的單葉沙蠶數量與底質環境與水質汙染程度有密切相關。
To investigate Namalycastis abiuma population ecology in freshwater environments in Taichung area, N. abiuma were collected 152 individuals from October 2009 to March 2011. The main aquatic invertebrates were Hirudinea, Oligochaeta, Chironomidae, Lymnaeidae of total 13791 individuals. Population dynamics investigate were mainly in Nan-men Bridge, monthly population size have no significant change. Body length of N. abiuma individuals which contain eggs were from 5 to 13.5 cm, and body length lager than 10 cm had reproductive maturity. Size of egg diameter of N. abiuma were significantly related with their body length, and were significant difference between seasons, the biggest egg diameter were showed in fall, speculating that fall was the main reproductive season. Feces composition of N. abiuma were humus, detritus, and algae. The habitat types are very important for them, like the size of pebbles, cobbles, and sand particle were medium sand and fine sand. The numbers of N. abiuma were significant different between months, localities respectively, and were significant positive related with Chironomids, Lymnaeidae. In the other way, the concentration of biochemical oxygen demand and electronic conductivity was a significant negatively correlated of the numbers of N. abiuma. Influence on the amount of N. abiuma caused by river pollution and concentration of total organic carbon.
