越來越多研究指出在動盪環境中,公司透過動態能力能獲取比競爭者更高的利潤,引起管理者對動態能力的關注。身處變動快速時代的台灣公司,如何培養動態能力以獲取競爭優勢成為一家公司重要的成功因素。然而,動態能力相關研究多數側重在績效發展,對於如何運用資源創造公司動態能力之研究僅少數。
因此,本研究將專注探討公司資源基礎與動態能力的連結性,提供經理人在建構公司動態能力時,資源投資決策之有效資訊。將特定資源基礎分為無形資源之商譽資產、技術資產、專業知識資產、有形資源、人力資源之員工人力資源、高階主管人力資源;動態能力則發展四個構面感應、吸收、關係、整合之能力。以台灣2009年千大製造業與五百大服務業企業為受測對象進行問卷調查,以SPSS 15.0版本進行資料分析。
實證衡量四種動態能力後發現,特定資源基礎對不同能力發展的影響性差別很大,如:商譽資源對感應能力有顯著正向影響,對其它能力則不顯著。大多數情況下,特定資源基礎呈現正向影響,然而,有少數的資源基礎如管理經驗,出現意想不到的負面影響。 本研究提供不同資源角色在動態能力發展的統計證明並建構分析動態能力的有效工具與資源決策指標,建議未來研究可進行縱向研究。
A growing body of literature has addressed the role of dynamic capabilities in obtaining competitive advantage. The underlying assumption is that firms who are better able to integrate, build, and reconfigure internal and external competences earn returns above its competitors. That lead managers concerned about the dynamic capabilities. In turbulent environments, the Taiwan companys to develope dynamic capabilities to gain competitive advantage is an important success factor.
Despite the numerous observations that dynamic capabilities lie at source of competitive advantage, we still have limited knowledge as to how access to firm-based resources and changes to these affect the development of dynamic capabilities. Therefore we focus specifically on the link between company's resources and dynamic capabilities through which they are used in creating value for firms.
In this study, we examine access to reputational resource、technological expertis、specific expertise of intangible resources, tangible resources and access to two types of human resources in a sample of firms in Taiwan. We empirically measure four dynamic capabilities and find that the nature and role of the resources employed in the development of these capabilities vary greatly. For the most part, there are positive effects stemming from access to particular resources. However, for some resources, such as the access to business education of manager human capital and reputational resource of intangible resource, unexpected negative effects appear.
This study therefore provides statistical evidence to the varying role of resources in capability development. Importantly, we also find how and where specific resources affect the value creating ability of firms is a necessary condition for managers to make effective decisions about their own resource investments, but also for aiding academics in deriving more accurate theories.
