Our purpose was established new vase solutions for Eustoma cut flowers, and discuss the effect of vase solution for cut Eustoma flowers were investigated. The Pengwei NO.3 treatments can improve the flower opening of “Hokutosei” and “Arena III pink” cut Eustoma flowers, and delays the vase life about 7 and 3 days respectively. But It seems will be happened the bend-neck, wilting, petal browning and leaves damage during the end of vase life, so we try to use the V2 vase solution (The Pengwei NO.3 treatments + 5 μM NAA) to solve such these problems.
V2 vase solution also can improve the flower opening and vase life of “Moret Marine” and “Arena rose” cut Eustoma flower which the vase life more than the The Pengwei NO.3 treatments about 5 and 6 days respectively, but still damage leaves during the middle to end of vase life. Treated with V3 vase solution (V2 vase solution + 0.02 % ABA) not only solve the problems of leaves damage, but moreover improve the flower opening and delays vase life of “Bolero white” cut Eustoma flower about 6 days. For decrease the risk of leaves damage, which induce by high sucrose concentration, treated with V4 vase solution (reduced the half of sucrose concentration in V3 vase solution) can advance the flower opening, accumulation of fresh weight, decrease the water uptake and delays vase life of “Bolero white” cut Eustoma flowers about 4 days.
Treated with vase solution (V2, V3 and V4 vase solutions) can be higher respiration and total sugar concentration of stem and petal, and got higher starch concentration of stem and petal compared with control after eighth day in the vase life. Therefore, V4 vase solution can be improved the vase life, accumulation of fresh weight and reduced the water uptake of cut Eustoma flowers. V4 solution can be delay the vase life of “Marble Pink”, “F1 Diamond Peach” and “Strawberry” cut Eustoma flowers about 5, 2 and 4 days compared with vase solution of market. During the days in the transport and vase, V4 vase solution is very practical and useful for Eustoma cut flower.
